Biography
Training on Kamino

CT-4040 was born on the planet Kamino, as a clone derived from the bounty hunter Jango Fett.
CT-4040, along with his clone trooper comrades in Domino Squad, including CT-00-2010, CT-5555, CT-782, and CT-1409, were nearly relegated to sanitation duty due to their consistently poor performance during training exercises. Despite the individual weaknesses of each squad member, Bric, a Siniteen drill instructor, placed the blame for the squad's failures squarely on CT-4040. One evening, prior to their final attempt at the Citadel Challenge training exercise, CT-4040 encountered Bric in the hangar. Bric reprimanded him, stating that he treated everything as a joke and was incapable of taking his training seriously. However, CT-4040 simply laughed and decided to embrace the nickname "Cutup," which Bric had used derisively. Despite his apparent indifference, this conversation, along with similar moments of reflection for his brothers, motivated Cutup and his squad to unite and commit to completing the challenge. They made excellent progress initially, but Cutup and his squad eventually discovered that their ascension cables, necessary for scaling the citadel, had been sabotaged. Although Bric was responsible for the sabotage, the squad utilized their combined resourcefulness to overcome the obstacle and successfully complete the challenge. Ultimately, Cutup and his squad received their commissions and were deployed to fight in the ongoing Clone Wars.
Rishi Station
Due to the increasing demands of the war, many inexperienced clones, Cutup included, were rushed into active service before their training was fully complete. Cutup and his Domino Squad colleagues were stationed at a listening post known as Rishi Station, situated on the Rishi Moon. In 22 BBY, as part of their strategy to invade the clone troopers' homeworld of Kamino, the Confederacy of Independent Systems launched a surprise assault against Rishi Station. As BX-series droid commandos invaded the listening post, Cutup, along with CT-5555, nicknamed "Fives," CT-1409, known as "Echo," and CT-782 "Hevy," were forced to escape through a ventilation shaft. After exiting the outpost, they found themselves on the surface beneath the station. However, a Rishi eel emerged and attacked Cutup, resulting in his death. The surviving clone troopers were eventually successful in alerting the Galactic Republic to the Separatist assault, thereby preventing a potential invasion of Kamino.
