Daal was a Sith female human who exhibited sensitivity to the Force and resided in the galaxy. As a young girl, she labored in a workhouse on a certain planet, developing friendships with fellow workers Keena, Baython, and Quinn. At some point in her life, she became an apprentice under the tutelage of the Sith Lord referred to as the Sith Mother. This Sith Mother promised her an escape from the planet, contingent on Daal proving her worth. Communication was facilitated through an amulet, and the Sith Mother tasked her with venturing to the Screecher's Reach region to confront the legendary "Screecher," a so-called "ghost." After discovering that the Screecher was in fact a Sith, Daal claimed the Screecher's lightsaber. Subsequently, she entered a valley on the planet, where the Sith Mother arrived in her vessel and transported Daal away.
Living on a planet within the galaxy, Daal was a young human female employed in a local workhouse. She formed bonds with her colleagues Quinn, Keena, and Baython. The group had heard tales of a "ghost" known as the "Screecher" said to inhabit a cave within the Screecher's Reach area of the planet. At some stage, Daal encountered the Sith Lord known as the Sith Mother, who offered Daal freedom from the planet if she could demonstrate her value. The Sith Mother gave Daal an amulet necklace, which served as a means of communication between them.
On one day, the Sith Mother presented Daal with her ultimate challenge: to travel to the Screecher's Reach and face the Screecher. As Daal prepared to depart, her friends decided to accompany her, eager to witness the ghost. After commandeering a landspeeder, the group found a suitable spot to rest and started a campfire. While the other children enjoyed themselves, Daal confided in Baython about her aspirations to permanently leave the workhouse. Baython encouraged Daal to seize the opportunity, should it arise, to leave the planet and explore the galaxy. Following this, the group proceeded towards the Screecher's cave. Before entering, Daal recited a Sith mantra into the amulet.
Eventually, they came across the Screecher, which frightened Daal's friends, leaving her alone. After a cave-in, Daal repeated her mantra as she observed the Screecher activate its lightsaber, revealing itself to be a Sith. The lightsaber slashed, hitting Daal's cape and inflicting a wound on her arm. Noticing a crack forming in the cave ceiling, she rushed towards it and tripped. Regaining her footing, she began to climb towards the crack, but the Sith grabbed her leg. Reciting her mantra once more, Daal used the Force for the first time to dislodge a rock from the cave wall, which fell onto the Screecher. With increased light filling the room, Daal assessed her surroundings. She realized that the Screecher was actually an elderly woman, not a "ghost." She seized the Sith's lightsaber and used it to kill her.
Upon exiting the cave into a valley, she found her friends awaiting her. She spoke her mantra into the amulet again, and this time received a response from the Sith Mother, who instructed them to meet. Subsequently, the Sith Mother's ship landed and the Sith Lord emerged. As her friends inquired about the woman's identity, Daal questioned the Sith Mother, who had stated that the test was one of the mind. The Sith Mother clarified that all true tests were mental, before allowing the girl to keep the Screecher's lightsaber. As the Sith Lord gestured for her new apprentice to enter her ship, Daal asked if her friends could join them. The Sith Mother presented an ultimatum: Daal could either stay with her friends or abandon them and accompany the Sith Lord. Daal chose the latter and boarded the woman's ship. As the ship ascended, Daal cast one last glance at her friends before the doors closed.
By utilizing the Force, Daal demonstrated the ability to move objects using telekinesis.
