A male human who served as a TIE pilot in the Galactic Empire was known by the designation "Dark Five". He flew with Dark Squadron during the period between 3 ABY and 4 ABY. During the squadron's attack on the Imperial light cruiser Forerunner II in order to eliminate Tarl Sokoli, who was suspected of being a Crimson Dawn mole, Dark Five successfully destroyed the cruiser's hyperdrive. The pilot then proceeded to destroy enemy TIE fighters, even as two of his fellow pilots were killed. Ultimately, "Dark One" Beilert Valance was responsible for completing the mission.
This male human TIE pilot, known as "Dark Five," was a member of the Empire's Dark Squadron from 3 ABY to 4 ABY. Flying TIE defenders, the squadron was stationed on the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Executor, which served as the flagship of the Sith Lord Darth Vader. They reported to Ochi of Bestoon, the Sith assassin. After Beilert Valance, a cyborg, was captured and forced into service by Vader, he was placed in command of Dark Squadron as "Dark One". The squadron then received orders to eliminate Imperial Admiral Tarl Sokoli, who was suspected of being a mole for the Crimson Dawn syndicate within the Empire.

After Vader ordered Sokoli's light cruiser, the Forerunner II, to be redirected outside the Eriadu system, "Dark Five" traveled there with the rest of his squadron. Dark Squadron, consisting of five TIE defenders, quickly began their assault under Valance's direction, prompting the cruiser to deploy its own TIE fighters in response. During the intense battle, Dark Five successfully destroyed the Forerunner II's hyperdrive, exclaiming "destroy" when Valance praised his shot.
After "Dark Three" was lost, Dark Five shouted "kill" over the comm while destroying an enemy TIE fighter, causing "Dark Four" to question where the Empire had found such a pilot. Shortly after, Dark Four was also killed, and Valance crashed his defender into the Forerunner II's bridge to reach Sokoli. The squadron commander succeeded in killing the admiral, thereby completing the squadron's objective.
"Dark Five" made an appearance in the nineteenth issue of the Star Wars: Bounty Hunters comic series. The comic was written by Ethan Sacks, illustrated by Ramon Bachs, and published by Marvel Comics on December 29, 2021.
