Dark Four (pilot)

Between the years of 3 ABY and 4 ABY, within the Galactic Empire's Dark Squadron, a TIE pilot of human origin operated under the designation "Dark Four". This squadron launched an attack against the Imperial light cruiser known as Forerunner II, with the objective of eliminating Tarl Sokoli, who was suspected of being a Crimson Dawn operative. During the engagement, Dark Four successfully eliminated several enemy TIE fighters; however, they disregarded warnings from fellow pilots to remain vigilant of the crossfire, a decision that led to their swift destruction by opposing TIEs.

Biography

During the Galactic Empire's reign, within the time, this human individual distinguished themselves within the Imperial forces as a TIE pilot. They were assigned to the Dark Squadron of the Empire, identified by the callsign "Dark Four", serving from 3 ABY to 4 ABY. Under the command of Ochi of Bestoon, a Sith assassin, the squadron piloted TIE defenders and were stationed on the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Executor, which served as the flagship for the Sith Lord Darth Vader. The cyborg Beilert Valance, known as "Dark One," who had been captured and forced into service by Vader, was placed in command of Dark Squadron. Subsequently, the squadron received the mission of eliminating Imperial Admiral Tarl Sokoli, suspected of being a mole for the Crimson Dawn syndicate.

"Dark Four" accompanied the rest of the squadron to the Forerunner II, Sokoli's light cruiser, which was positioned outside the Eriadu system after Vader had it redirected. As the cruiser began deploying TIE fighters, Valance initiated the attack without delay. When "Dark Three" expressed reservations about engaging fellow Imperial pilots, Dark Four reminded them that the mission originated from Vader, inquiring if they wished to contest the matter with the Sith Lord directly. Amidst the escalating battle, Dark Four successfully targeted and eliminated TIE fighters, earning praise from a squadronmate for their marksmanship. The pilot also overheard Lieutenant Jeela Brebtin "Dark Two" reprimanding Dark Three for neglecting to address her by her designated callsign.

"Dark Four" is destroyed by Tarl Sokoli's TIE fighters.

Soon after, Dark Three fell victim to cannonfire from the Forerunner II. "Dark Five" repeatedly uttered the word "kill" while shooting down TIEs, prompting Dark Four to question the Empire's selection process for pilots. Brebtin urged Dark Four to concentrate on the battle, which the latter complied with, albeit with a self-correction to use "Dark Two." Valance supported the lieutenant, instructing Dark Four to prioritize the imminent crossfire. Ignoring this advice, Dark Four boasted about their long-standing reputation as one of the Empire's elite Imperial pilots. However, a TIE fighter abruptly ended their boast by destroying them and their own fighter. Despite Dark Squadron's losses, Valance successfully eliminated Sokoli, thereby fulfilling the squadron's mission.
