Dauntless (Imperial-class)

The Dauntless, an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, served the Galactic Empire. Under the command of Moff Raythe, this warship transported experimental satellites essential for Operation: Cinder in the aftermath of the Battle of Endor. Consequently, while stationed at an Imperial dockyard, the Dauntless took part in the attack on Fondor, during which the Rebel Alliance tried to seize the vessel following an ion cannons bombardment.

Behind the scenes

Star Wars Battlefront II, a canon video game developed by DICE, Motive Studios, and Criterion Games, and released by Electronic Arts on November 17, 2017, marked the debut of the Dauntless. It has the same name as the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Dauntless featured in the 2016 live-action movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. In Star Wars: Timelines, the Dauntless is represented by an image of an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer from the "Starships of the Empire and the Rebellion" edition of De Agostini's Star Wars Encyclopedia.
