Derrek Raythe was a Moff in the service of the Galactic Empire, identified as a male human. He held the commanding position on the Imperial-class Star Destroyer named Dauntless. While docked at Fondor Station positioned above the planet Fondor, he was tasked with acquiring an experimental weather satellite when they came under attack by the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
Subsequently, Raythe journeyed to Vardos, where Admiral Garrick Versio initiated the deployment of these arrays.

Derrek Raythe, a human Moff within the Galactic Empire, found himself stationed at Fondor Station in orbit around the planet Fondor by the year 4 ABY, following the Battle of Endor that resulted in the deaths of both Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader.
Around this time, Operation: Cinder was triggered. Sentinel droids were used to disseminate the late Emperor's last orders to select individuals, Admiral Garrick Versio included. As part of the plan presented to the Imperial Security Bureau, an officer approached Moff Raythe concerning the experimental satellites crucial for the operation's execution. Raythe's objective was to secure these satellites from the space station to further the plan.
However, this was disrupted by an assault from the Alliance to Restore the Republic, compelling him to command the ensuing space battle from his docked Imperial-class Star Destroyer, the Dauntless. From there, he issued instructions to Commander Iden Versio, an Imperial pilot belonging to Inferno Squad and the daughter of Admiral Versio, emphasizing the plan's critical importance to the pilot.
Raythe's initial appearance was in the 2017 video game, Star Wars Battlefront II.
