Davnar II

Davnar II, also referred to as Davnar, was a planet situated within both the Core Worlds and [the Interior](/article/the_interior] regions, identifiable as grid square K-9 on the Standard Galactic Grid. This planet held the second orbital position within its respective star system. It served as the homeworld for both the kalidor, a predatory avian species, and the historian Eloc Throno.

Throno eventually departed from Davnar II to pursue studies in cartography at the Graf Archive located on the moon known as Orchis 2. In the year 34 ABY, subsequent to his departure from his homeworld, Throno referenced the planet in his book titled Traveler's Guide to Batuu. This book provided details about the planet Batuu and also featured a map that illustrated the location of Davnar II.

Behind the scenes

The inclusion of Davnar II into the new Star Wars canon was facilitated by the 2016 sourcebook Lead by Example from Fantasy Flight Games. The reference book Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu, authored by Cole Horton in 2020, was the work that introduced "Davnar" as an alternative name for the planet. Davnar II initially appeared within the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 1979 novel Han Solo at Stars' End by Brian Daley, and then later made an appearance in the 1998 video game Star Wars: Rebellion.
