Davnar II

Davnar II, also referred to as Davnar, was a planet situated within the Core Worlds and the Interior regions, specifically located at grid coordinate K-9 on the Standard Galactic Grid. This planet held the second orbital position within its respective star system. It served as the homeworld for both the kalidor, a predatory avian species, and the historian known as Eloc Throno.

At some point in time, Throno departed from Davnar II to pursue studies in cartography at the Graf Archive located on the moon called Orchis 2. In 34 ABY, subsequent to his departure from his homeworld, Throno made reference to the planet in his book titled Traveler's Guide to Batuu, which provided detailed information about the planet Batuu and also featured a map illustrating the location of Davnar II within the context of the work.

Behind the scenes

The planet Davnar II was incorporated into the official Star Wars canon through its inclusion in the 2016 sourcebook Lead by Example published by Fantasy Flight Games. The reference book Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu, authored by Cole Horton in 2020, introduced "Davnar" as an alternative designation for the planet. Previously, Davnar II initially appeared within the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 1979 novel titled Han Solo at Stars' End, penned by Brian Daley, and subsequently made its debut in the 1998 video game known as Star Wars: Rebellion.
