Den Dhur

Den Dhur, hailing originally from Sullust, was a Sullustan journalist and also a war correspondent employed by the Galactic Wave. He achieved fleeting recognition for his reporting during the conflicts on Drongar. This included a report on the actions of Phow Ji, a cold-blooded mercenary. Despite Dhur's efforts to portray him otherwise, the media transformed Ji into a hero of the Republic. Jax Pavan nicknamed Den Dhur "Shorty," while Dhur referred to Pavan as "Small Eyes."

Biography

Dhur plays Sabacc on Drongar.

During his time stationed on Drongar, Dhur underwent a transformation. He went from being a pessimist to a reluctant hero, participating in actions such as rescuing Zan Yant's quetarra and working to get protocol droid I-5YQ intoxicated. Dhur also had a short romantic relationship with Eyar Marath, a fellow Sullustan entertainer. Additionally, he developed friendships with Galactic Republic Surgeons Jos Vondar, Zan Yant, and Kornell Divini, along with nurse Tolk le Trene and Padawan Barriss Offee. He planned to depart Drongar with the protocol droid I-5YQ on a mission destined for Coruscant, intending to inform Republic command that the bota on Drongar was losing its effectiveness when he left. However, he became involved in the Separatist assault on RMSU 7. Despite this, Den Dhur still chose to travel to Coruscant with I-5YQ after they were transported to the orbiting MedStar.

His only other known assignment involved Jabiim where he initially encountered Filba. However, the meeting was unpleasant, and he almost lost his life at the hands of the Hutt, who was attempting to gain favor with Alto Stratus.

Kornell Divini remembered something Den had once said on Drongar when he was a medic attached to a RMSU.

Following the conclusion of the Clone Wars, Dhur and I-Five journeyed to Coruscant. Once there, I-5YQ dedicated several months to searching for the Jedi Jax Pavan, who was the son of his former partner.

Meeting Jax Pavan

Eventually, I-Five located Jax. However, the Jedi Knight, who was in hiding, initially refused the droid's companionship. Den stood by I-Five, and eventually, they both joined Jax, along with Laranth Tarak and Nick Rostu, in their search for the droid known as Bug-Eyes.

However, Bug-Eyes turned out to be merely a lure into a trap orchestrated by Darth Vader, who was attempting to capture Jax. Despite this, the friends survived the encounter. Den then decided to remain on Coruscant with the team, and they were joined by Darth Vader's former aide, Haninum Tyk Rhinann.

Whiplash

Den and his companions became members of an underground resistance movement on Coruscant, known as the Whiplash. One of their missions involved assisting a Zeltron named Dejah Duare in leaving Coruscant. However, Dejah's partner, a Caamasi artist named Ves Volette, was brutally murdered, transforming the mission into an investigation. During this investigation, Den attempted to find parts for Jax to construct a new lightsaber, as his previous one had been lost during the battle with Darth Vader. After completing the investigation, Dejah chose to remain on Coruscant and join Jax's team. Following a duel between Jax and Aurra Sing, which resulted in Laranth's injury, the Twi'lek Gray Paladin decided to work directly for Whiplash, departing from Jax's team.

Home

Later, Jax and Laranth found a young Force-sensitive boy named Kajin Savaros. Soon after, Inquisitors began pursuing them relentlessly. Den grew tired of the constant troubles and sent a message to his former lover, Eyar. When she replied, he decided to leave, packing his belongings and heading to the spaceport without saying goodbye to anyone, not even I-Five.

However, while sitting at the spaceport, he realized that his true home was not Sullust, but with Jax and his friends. Later, when Darth Vader injected himself with the bota and lost control, Den joined the Whiplash team, led by the Whiplash leader, Thi Xon Yimmon, that arrived to assist in the rescue of Laranth and Kajin, who had been betrayed and captured by Dejah Duare.

Den survived the encounter and remained on Coruscant with Jax, I-Five, and Laranth.
