Duinuogwuin
The Duinuogwuin were a group of beings that existed in proximity to the expanding Galactic Republic within the galaxy around the time of the High Republic Era. To foster connections with neighboring groups, including the Duinuogwuin, Chancellor Lina Soh organized a Republic Fair on Valo, a planet situated in the Outer Rim, during 231 BBY. Soh's intention was that the fair's demonstration of the Republic's offerings, in conjunction with her other Great Works like the Starlight Beacon space station, would help the government establish relationships with nearby civilizations, such as the Duinuogwuin. Following a Senate meeting dedicated to planning the fair, Soh shared her thoughts regarding the Duinuogwuin with her Vice Chancellor, Larep Reza.
Behind the scenes

Within the current Star Wars canon, the Duinuogwuin received a mention in the 2021 novel titled The High Republic: The Rising Storm, which was penned by Cavan Scott as part of Phase I of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project. Conversely, within the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Duinuogwuin were initially mentioned indirectly in "Dread Discovery!," which was the third part of "The Keeper's World," a serialized Star Wars comic story authored by Roy Thomas and featured in the third issue of Pizzazz magazine in December of 1977.
They were initially portrayed as a sentient species referred to as the "Star Dragons" in the 1989 Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game supplement, Galaxy Guide 4: Alien Races, which was written by Troy Denning. The Duinuogwuin made their first appearance in a flashback sequence in the roleplaying adventure titled "The Most Dangerous Foe" by Angela Phillips, featured in the eleventh issue of Star Wars Adventure Journal in November of 1996.
