Elyhek Rue was a male human who fought for the Alliance to Restore the Republic as a pilot. He was part of Red Squadron during the Galactic Civil War. Rue entered the X-wing training simulator located in the Massassi Temple on Yavin 4 with Wedge Antilles, Biggs Darklighter, Bren Quersey, and Wenton Chan while Col Takbright was present. Rue's mistaken identity of Takbright as Wedge angered Takbright, resulting in Rue being prohibited from participating in the Battle of Yavin. He observed the battle alongside Takbright and other pilots who were also grounded.
The comic "Grounded" and Star Wars (2015) 45 showed Rue participating in the Battle of Yavin, but "Duty Roster" indicated he was not present. This article follows the events of Duty Roster.
