The emergency evac fleet was a hastily formed fleet. It came together in 137 ABY's waning days to aid the Galactic Alliance Remnant in their evacuation efforts on the planet Dac. This evacuation was triggered by the poisoning of the planet carried out by Sith scientist Vul Isen. Upon hearing of Isen's deeds across the galaxy, volunteers rallied to Stazi, eager to rescue the inhabitants of the water world.
During the evacuation, a Sith–Imperial fleet opened fire on the volunteers. In response, Alliance Admiral Gar Stazi strategically positioned the Galactic Alliance Core Fleet to shield the evac fleet from the Imperial assault. The arrival of the Alliance's allies, the Empire-in-exile, compelled the Sith–Imperials to retreat, thus enabling the evacuation to proceed unhindered.
The evacuation fleet was composed of a diverse array of starships. These included an Ardent-class fast frigate, multiple CR90 corvettes, an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate, a G9 Rigger-class light freighter, a number of GR-75 medium transports, an Immobilizer 418 cruiser, an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, several MC80 Liberty type Star Cruisers, a Venator-class Star Destroyer, the YX-1980 space transport known as the Grinning Liar, and a collection of YZ 3000 tankers.
