Eriadu's inhabited moon

The planet Eriadu, situated in the Outer Rim Territories, was orbited by an inhabited moon. This moon was home to approximately 1.2 billion residents during the High Republic Era. During the Great Hyperspace Disaster, an event known as the Emergences resulted in three pieces of the freighter Legacy Run appearing within the Eriadu system. Kassav Milliko, a Tempest Runner affiliated with the Nihil marauder band, planned to exploit her foreknowledge of an upcoming Emergence at Eriadu. This information, provided by Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro, was to be used to blackmail Mural Veen, the governor of Eriadu.

Following the arrival of two fragments into the system, one of which obliterated a fleet of lommite transports, Veen ultimately conceded to Milliko's stipulations in exchange for averting the anticipated Emergence. However, a third fragment was on a trajectory toward the moon. Milliko's corvette, the New Elite, was unable to successfully microjump to the necessary coordinates to intercept it, leading to the fragment's impact on the moon's surface. This collision generated a cloud of debris that ascended from the moon, accompanied by shockwaves that propagated across its landscape.
