Ithia Paan was a Jedi of the Kel Dor species and female during the age known as the High Republic Era. She received a briefing from Jedi Knight Yord Fandar regarding a mission to locate Jedi Master Kelnacca on Khofar in 132 BBY.
During the High Republic Era, Ithia Paan served as a Jedi of the Kel Dor species. In 132 BBY, Paan accompanied Jedi Master Sol and other Jedi on a mission to find the reclusive Jedi Kelnacca on the planet Khofar. While aboard a Polan-717 Jedi transport headed for Khofar, Jedi Knight Yord Fandar briefed the Jedi group. Upon their arrival on Khofar, she and the other Jedi waited at a camp while Padawan Jecki Lon spoke with local inhabitants to gain information about Kelnacca's location. After learning that Kelnacca had entered the nearby forest, the Tynnan Bazil guided the party by following Kelnacca's scent. As night fell, the group reached Kelnacca's shelter and positioned themselves around its entrance.
Paan and the others turned to face "the Stranger," a Sith practitioner, as he approached from behind. After the Sith activated his lightsaber, Paan drew her own lightsaber and, along with the other Jedi, charged at the Stranger. However, the Sith used the Force to knock the group away. After the Jedi reengaged the Sith in combat, the Sith Master struck Paan down, impaling her through the chest. Paan died with a groan. Later, Vernestra Rwoh and another group of Jedi arrived on Khofar to investigate the defeat of the Jedi task force. After discovering and examining the bodies of Paan and her comrades, Rwoh told fellow Jedi Mog Adana that the bodies needed to be prepared for burial.
Ithia Paan was equipped with brown Jedi apparel that had gold accents, and she used a lightsaber that emitted a green light. Due to her Kel Dor biology, Paan utilized an antiox breath mask.
The character of Ithia Paan, though not identified by name, made her debut in "Day," the fourth installment of the live-action series The Acolyte, which premiered on June 18, 2024. However, a brief preview of the Kel Dor character was included in the official trailers for the series, which were released on the official Star Wars YouTube channel on March 19 of the same year. The official Star Wars account on Twitter identified Paan by name on June 19, the day following the episode's broadcast, in response to a fan's inquiry about the Kel Dor's name. Katie McDonnell, a stunt performer, played Ithia Paan on screen; McDonnell also worked on The Acolyte as the stunt double for Carrie-Anne Moss's Jedi Master Indara.
