Jariad Korsin, a male Human, held the title of High Lord on the planet of Kesh. He belonged to the Lost Tribe of Sith in the era following the Great Hyperspace War. Born to Sith mineralogical corps members Devore and Seelah Korsin, Korsin was a mere infant aboard the Sith dreadnaught Omen. The ship met its end on the isolated world of Kesh after a Jedi attack during the Great Hyperspace War. Korsin, along with his parents, survived the crash. However, Devore died soon after, killed by his brother, Omen captain Yaru Korsin, in a power struggle. The surviving Sith established the Lost Tribe of Sith over the Keshiri natives, with Yaru leading them. To ensure Korsin's security, his mother married Yaru, but she never forgave him for Devore's death and instilled that hatred in Korsin.
For years, Korsin and his mother conspired to avenge Devore by overthrowing Yaru and making Korsin the new Grand Lord of the Lost Tribe. Simultaneously, Korsin rose to prominence in Keshiri society. He skillfully used political maneuvering to become a popular candidate for Grand Lordship. Furthermore, he used his exceptional lightsaber skills to lead the Sith Saber honor guard. Secretly, he trained them as a strike force for his and Seelah's planned revolt. In 4975 BBY, they decided the time was right to act. Attacking the aging Yaru near the mountain-based Kesh Sith Temple, Korsin and his Sith Sabers gained the advantage and severely wounded the Grand Lord. However, the arrival of Korsin's half-sister Nida and her uvak-riding Skyborn Rangers, who fought for Yaru, reversed their fortunes, and Korsin was ultimately killed in the battle.

Jariad Korsin, a Human male, entered the world around 5000 BBY. His parents, Devore and Seelah Korsin, were members of the Sith mineralogical corps. In that year, during the height of the Great Hyperspace War between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, the infant Korsin accompanied his parents on a Lignan mining expedition to the planet Phaegon III's largest moon. They boarded the Sith starship Omen, commanded by Devore's half-brother, Yaru Korsin. However, Jedi attacked the Omen, causing it to stray from its course as it jumped into hyperspace. While traveling to unknown regions, a gravity well destroyed the Omen, and the Sith dreadnaught returned to realspace near a mysterious planet called Kesh. Korsin survived the catastrophe in his mother's arms. Amidst the chaos on the Omen, Devore instructed his wife to take Korsin to the escape pods. However, the escape pods were inaccessible, so Seelah took Korsin to the bridge, where Devore was fighting his brother over control of the ship. After everyone sought cover, the Omen plunged into Kesh's atmosphere, crashing into a mountain range.
Despite the ship's destruction, the infant Korsin and his family survived the crash. Along with 355 others, the Korsins made their way to a clearing below the crash site, a perilous journey during which twenty-one died. The survivors established a basic camp, where Korsin spent more time with Devore while his mother focused on treating the injured and sick. Shortly after the crash, Devore attempted to seize control from Yaru, resulting in a lightsaber duel and Devore's death. Korsin and his mother were unaware of the circumstances of Devore's death, which occurred away from the camp near the remains of the Omen. Through the arrival of a native Keshiri woman, Adari Vaal, the Sith escaped their entrapment in the mountains. They posed as native gods to gain the allegiance of the Keshiri people. The Sith moved into the homes of the Keshiri ruling council, the Neshtovar, and Korsin lived with his mother and Yaru in the house of Neshtovar leader Izri Dazh. Although the Sith were eager to find a way off the remote planet, they found none, and Korsin grew up isolated from the rest of the galaxy.
In the following years, the survivors of the Omen crash formed a new Sith organization called the Lost Tribe of Sith, with Yaru as its Grand Lord. Korsin's mother married Yaru and had a daughter, Nida, to secure their future. As a result, Korsin grew up in luxury, first in the capital city of Tahv and later in the Kesh Sith Temple in the mountains near the Omen's wreckage. At some point, Seelah became convinced that Yaru was responsible for Devore's death and instilled in Korsin a hatred for his stepfather. Together, they plotted to get revenge on the Grand Lord and make Korsin the leader of the Lost Tribe. One of their first goals was to remove the pureblood Sith element from the Lost Tribe, to establish an all-Human purity in the group. In 4985 BBY, Korsin's mother led a conspiracy to frame the remaining purebloods for several massacres of Keshiri in the southern towns of the Ragnos Lakes region, which Seelah herself had orchestrated. The deception worked: Yaru believed the purebloods were complicit in the deaths and ordered a purge of the beings from Kesh. The genocide lasted a single night, after which the pureblood leader, Ravilan Wroth, was captured and held in a public plaza in Tahv. After a brief conversation between Seelah and Wroth, Korsin emerged from the shadows, wielding a vibroblade. He then drew his lightsaber and killed Wroth.

As Korsin matured, he gained a reputation as a rebellious youth, which he later shed as he became a popular choice to succeed Yaru as Grand Lord. Around 4975 BBY, now–High Lord Korsin founded the Sith Sabers, a ceremonial honor guard specializing in lightsaber skills, with himself as the leader, with Yaru's approval. That year, with all attempts to leave Kesh failing, the Lost Tribe of Sith decided to stay on Kesh permanently. They announced their intentions at a celebration in Tahv's Circle Eternal plaza. The ceremony included a demonstration by the Sith Sabers, led by Korsin. By then, Korsin's mother was certain that Yaru was responsible for Devore's death twenty-five years earlier, and as the celebration ended, Seelah assured Korsin that their time for vengeance was near. Over the past several weeks, Korsin had increased combat training for his Sabers, intending them to be his strike force. After the ceremony, Korsin enacted the first part of their plan—misdirection. Korsin would stage a practice duel with his Sith Sabers in front of Yaru, defeating them soundly, then announce that he was taking them to the distant Northern Reaches for training. This would ensure that Yaru, even if he suspected something, would not expect them to strike soon. The phase went as planned—Korsin even severed one of his Sabers' hands, and soon received his stepfather's permission to move his Sabers to the Northern Reaches.
Later, while Yaru walked the Kesh Sith Temple with his Houk friend Gloyd and four bodyguards, Korsin gathered his Sabers and ambushed him. Before Yaru could react, Korsin had him surrounded, outnumbered four to one. Seelah appeared and joined the standoff, but as the two sides faced each other, dozens of uvak beasts rose into the sky. A secret Keshiri resistance group led by Adari Vaal had chosen that moment to execute their final plan, which involved stealing the uvak beasts vital to Sith control over Kesh. The rise of the uvak provided enough of a diversion for Yaru to break the circle and flee to better ground. A full-scale lightsaber duel ensued. Although Yaru fought valiantly, his force dwindled, and he began to weaken. Korsin cornered the Grand Lord near a high precipice and unleashed his anger, slashing at him repeatedly. However, as Korsin moved in for the kill, his sister Nida suddenly appeared on uvak-back with members of her Skyborn Rangers riding club. Nida and her Rangers were Yaru's last resort, and they flew into the fray and reversed the battle. Korsin fought his sister to repel their advance, but he was wounded. In his final moments, Yaru tried to throw Korsin over the precipice—although he failed, Nida did it, and Korsin fell to his death. With Korsin's death, Seelah's plots were ruined. Yaru soon died from his injuries, and Nida Korsin became the Grand Lord.
Influenced by his mother from a young age, Jariad Korsin always held a strong hatred for his stepfather, Yaru Korsin. Korsin was devoted to his mother, killing at her command from his teens. Although once rebellious, Korsin matured in his twenties and gained political skill—he carried himself with confidence, making every pause a pose for history. Although he never knew his biological father, Devore, Korsin resembled him greatly. Self-absorbed, Korsin was prone to cutting corners like his father, either doing nothing or overdoing it. Korsin saw himself as the future of the Lost Tribe and proclaimed that destiny to his stepfather near the Kesh Sith Temple before their battle. Ultimately, these traits inherited from his father led to his demise, as he was thrown to his death from the same precipice where Devore had died. Nearly a third of a meter taller than his stepfather Yaru, Korsin had tan skin and black hair.
Both of Jariad Korsin's parents were Force-sensitive, and Korsin inherited that ability at birth. Growing up in the Lost Tribe, Korsin was trained in the dark side, and by his teens, he was skilled with both a lightsaber and a vibroblade. By his twenties, as head of the Sith Sabers, Korsin's lightsaber skills had improved greatly; he could defeat multiple armed attackers easily. However, his saber skills were insufficient to prevent his death in 4975 BBY. In that battle, Korsin's incompetence as a trainer became apparent, as his Sabers were unprepared for the fight. Korsin was a capable uvak-rider, as the winged beasts were the primary mode of transportation for the Lost Tribe in his time.
Jariad Korsin first appeared as an infant in John Jackson Miller's 2009 eBook, Lost Tribe of the Sith: Precipice, the first in his nine-part Lost Tribe of the Sith series. Korsin appeared in the series' next three installments—Skyborn, Paragon, and Lost Tribe of the Sith: Savior—dying in the latter. He was also mentioned in two subsequent installments, Pantheon and Secrets, as well as in the 2012 reference book The Essential Reader's Companion.
