Jeb Maris

Jeb Maris was a male Human who flew as a TIE pilot for the Galactic Empire during the time of the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

Following the Battle of Yavin, Jeb Maris became a pilot of TIE bombers within the Starfighter Corps of the Imperial Navy.

In the year 1 ABY, an Imperial Research and Prison Facility located on the planet Dathomir experienced an accident. The Blackwing virus that was being researched at the facility broke free from its containment, wiping out most of the individuals in the area and turning them into ravenous undead creatures. In response to this outbreak, the Galactic Empire quickly established a Quarantine Zone in an effort to contain the spread of the infection. The small number of people who managed to survive the initial outbreak of the virus found themselves trapped inside this Quarantine Zone. These survivors created camps as a way to defend themselves against the constant attacks from the zombies and to attempt to live safely while they awaited rescue.

Around this time, Jeb Maris' TIE squadron was sent to the area. However, an inexperienced TIE pilot collided with Maris' TIE bomber, damaging its wing. Eventually, Jeb Maris' ship crashed within the Quarantine Zone. Later, the pilot sought shelter in Camp Alpha, alongside Rebel Sergeant Mika Horn and the Bothan named Oona Wran.

Jeb Maris was stranded in the Quarantine Zone, but he had access to a collection of radios that gave him the ability to communicate with people located outside of it. However, the pilot was aware of the existence of other refugee camps within the Quarantine Zone and decided to create a communications network with the other survivors. As a result, Maris enlisted the help of spacers who had ventured into the Quarantine Zone, tasking them with the delivery of radios to the other camps. The spacers delivered radios to Volo Madine at Camp Beta, Tripp D'jek at Camp Gamma, TR-522 at Camp Delta, and finally Sogan Varga at Camp Epsilon. Once communication was established between the five camps, the survivors were able to effectively coordinate high-altitude supply drops that were sent from outside the Quarantine Zone.
