A man of Serennian descent, named Kresto, originated from the planet Serenno situated in the Outer Rim during the High Republic Era. By the time 231 BBY arrived, he had become known as the Count of Serenno. When the Senate convened to plan the approaching Republic Fair scheduled for that year on Valo, a planet in the Outer Rim, Izzet Noor, Serenno's representative in the senator, expressed apprehensions regarding security at the event due to the threat posed by the Nihil marauders then causing issues across the galaxy. While others attempted to allay his fears, the focus shifted to a project proposed by another senator, Tia Toon, leading to a discussion on the Defense Force Program. After the meeting concluded, Lina Soh, the Republic Supreme Chancellor, confided in her Vice Chancellor, Larep Reza, that she felt confident about the upcoming fair, even quipping that Kresto would strongly disapprove of the Defense Force Program, a consolidated security force, establishing a presence on Serenno.
