Kronn was a member of the Imperial Navy who held the rank of officer within the service of the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. Kronn eventually achieved the rank of captain and commanded the _Imperial_-class Star Destroyer named Adjudicator. Following the Battle of Yavin in 0 ABY, the Adjudicator, Kronn's vessel, was dispatched to blockade Cymoon 1, a moon, after rebels attacked Weapons Factory Alpha, the Empire's weapons production facility located there. The Adjudicator was unsuccessful in its attempt to stop the rebels from escaping the moon aboard the freighter Millennium Falcon, as the starship successfully entered hyperspace. Kronn then used a comlink to report this failure to Darth Vader, the Sith Lord. As Captain Kronn delivered his report, Vader used the Force to choke the officer, terminating the communication.
Kronn's vocal performance was featured in Star Wars, the comic series from 2015, specifically in the third issue. Marvel Comics published the issue, which was written by Jason Aaron, on March 11, 2015.
