Lieutenant Lander, a male human, participated in an unauthorized mission to Seatos alongside General Hera Syndulla, Captain Carson Teva, and Lieutenants Baysee, Mowaat, and Jensu. The group detected the Eye of Sion, a huge hyperspace transport ring, as it left Seatos' atmosphere; therefore, they attempted to intercept it by flying to intersect its path. This attempt failed, resulting in casualties as the Sion entered hyperspace through their formation, causing Lander's X-wing to lose control.
The team then touched down on Seatos and began a search for Syndulla's companions, Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren. Despite an extensive search, they could not locate them. Finally, Syndulla's child, Jacen Syndulla, used the Force to sense Tano's location. Jensu dove into the ocean to rescue the barely conscious Togruta who was discovered there. Lander helped his comrade in getting Tano safely onto the Ghost, Syndulla's ship.
Lander's initial appearance was in the fourth episode of Ahsoka, a Disney+ series that premiered on September 5, 2023. Brendan Wayne played Lander. Wayne also works as a stand-in for Din Djarin on the Mandalorian.
