Lanvorak Squad was a specialized squad of Sith Jetpack Troopers, who were part of the Sith Eternal army. This army served the Sith Eternal, a Sith cult devoted to the dark side. Their operations occurred during the First Order-Resistance War, concluding with the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY. This battle led to the complete destruction of the Sith Eternal by the Resistance and the Citizens' Fleet, a group of citizens who rebelled across the galaxy. The squad took its name from the lanvorak weapon.

The aerial infantry squad known as Lanvorak Squad was a component of the army belonging to the Sith Eternal, a cult aligned with the dark side. This squad was stationed on Exegol, a planet in the Unknown Regions that served as the cult's throneworld. Lanvorak Squad was composed of ten Sith Jetpack Troopers, who were a specialized type of Sith trooper, the soldier most commonly used by the cult.
Mirroring other Sith Jetpack Trooper squads within the army, the name of Lanvorak Squad was a tribute to an old and incredibly devastating dark side weapon, known as the lanvorak. As a unit of Sith Jetpack Troopers, the squad members wore unique crimson Sith trooper armor and were armed with F-11ABA heavy blaster cannons, in addition to NJP-900 integrated jetpacks.
Lanvorak Squad saw action during the First Order-Resistance War, which unfolded between 34 ABY and 35 ABY. In 35 ABY, the Battle of Exegol resulted in the complete annihilation of the Sith Eternal when they clashed with a combined force of the Resistance and the Citizens' Fleet. The Citizens' Fleet was a fleet that consisted of beings who had united from all over the galaxy. During this battle, Darth Sidious, the Dark Lord of the Sith, along with all of his forces, including Lanvorak Squad, met their end.
The first mention of Lanvorak Squad was in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, a book written by Pablo Hidalgo and published in 2019.
