Of all the questionable choices Cade Skywalker has made throughout his life, perhaps handing over Jedi Master Hosk to the Sith was the worst. Now, he journeyed to Coruscant with the hope of redeeming himself, and hopefully freeing Hosk. However, Hosk isn't the only person Cade has wronged, and a chance encounter with a couple of old "friends" may lead him down an unexpected path.

Important! The story arc commencing in this issue will reveal the secret identity of Legacy's most enigmatic figure: Darth Krayt, the self-proclaimed Sith Emperor!

The issue opens with Cade Skywalker and R2-D2 attempting to evade Skull Squadron within the depths of Coruscant's underlevels. In a scene reminiscent of Obi-Wan Kenobi's famous escape, Cade conceals the Mynock by attaching it to the underside of a structure. Subsequently, he locates Rik's Cantina, where he engages in conversation with Queen Jool. He provides her with the access codes for the Mynock, instructing her to pass them on to Syn and Deliah upon their arrival. He also encounters Chak and Kee, who are searching for Syn and Blue, who had borrowed the Grinning Liar before being captured by Rav and the Imperials. Following this, he departs and makes his way to the Sith Temple, where he infiltrates the chamber in which Hosk Trey'lis is confined. He discovers that Hosk has divulged all of his knowledge about Cade to the Sith. Suddenly, Darth Talon launches an unexpected attack. During their confrontation, Cade would have emerged victorious, but Darth Nihl intervened, using the Force to choke Cade into unconsciousness. Talon and Nihl then take Cade away.
