Nightsister crystal ball

The Nightsister crystal ball stood as a force_artifact, brought into existence and wielded by Mother Talzin. She led the Nightsisters, a dathomiri_clan of witches hailing from the planet Dathomir. Talzin's ability to conjure the crystal ball stemmed from the Nightsisters' singular force-sensitive connection to the_force. In the year 20_bby, this Nightsister crystal ball empowered Talzin to perceive force_vision of what was to come and pinpoint the whereabouts of individuals.

Eventually, the Nightsister crystal ball fell into the hands of Talzin's offspring, Maul, a former nightbrothers and dark_lord_of_the_sith. By the time 2_bby rolled around, Maul had placed the crystal ball within the nightsister_lair on Dathomir, alongside other relics of personal significance.

Description

Mother Talzin was the creator of the Nightsister crystal ball.

The Nightsister crystal ball belonged to the category of Witches'_orb. This spherical object, exhibiting various shades of orange, was housed within the nightsister_lair situated on the outer_rim_territories planet Dathomir. It rested upon a diminutive, gray pedestal positioned on a table.

Mother Talzin, the chieftain of the Nightsisters—a dathomiri_clan of witches originating from Dathomir—fashioned the crystal ball. Her success in this endeavor was due to the Nightsisters' exceptional force-sensitive ability to delve into the depths of the_force, realms largely uncharted by those trained in the ways of the jedi and sith. The Nightsister crystal ball served as a conduit for viewing force_vision of the future and pinpointing the location of specific individuals, such as nightbrothers male soldier warriors Savage Opress and Maul. When employed to locate Opress and Maul, the crystal ball conjured images of them.

History

Mother Talzin's machinations

Mother Talzin uses her crystal ball to ascertain Savage Opress's location.

Crystal balls were implements used by the Nightsisters of Dathomir to glimpse into the tapestry of future events. One such crystal ball was personally crafted by Mother Talzin. She positioned this force_artifact on a table inside the Nightsister lair on Dathomir. It was present when Count Dooku, the head_of_state of the confederacy_of_independent_systems and a dark_lord_of_the_sith, paid a visit to the witch in 20_bby. The purpose of his visit was to discuss the acquisition of a new sith_apprentice. This apprentice would soon become Savage Opress, one of Talzin's sons who, unbeknownst to Dooku, was merely a pawn in a scheme orchestrated by the Nightsisters to death the count.

After the jedi_order became aware of Opress's existence, Obi-Wan Kenobi, a jedi_master, and Anakin Skywalker, a jedi_knight, journeyed to Dathomir and convened with Talzin to ascertain his whereabouts. Manipulating her crystal ball, the witch moved her limb around the artifact and repeated Opress's name, discovering that he was on the mid_rim_territories planet Toydaria, a piece of information she shared with the two Jedi.

Darth Maul returns

Darth Maul's image appears in the crystal ball.

It was there that Opress revealed his true allegiance and lightsaber_duel Dooku but was compelled to flee. The former Sith apprentice sought refuge with Talzin on Dathomir, confessing that he lacked the strength to vanquish all his adversaries. She consoled Opress, informing him that there remained someone capable of instructing him: another of her sons and a brother of Opress, the sith_lord Darth Maul, who was presumed to have perished on the Mid Rim planet Naboo some standard_year prior. As Maul's image materialized within the crystal ball, Talzin dispatched Opress to locate his brother, who was, at that time, dwelling in the Outer Rim on the planet Lotho Minor.

Although he did find Maul, Opress met his end during a mandalorian_civil_war_(19_bby) with Maul's former Sith Master, Darth Sidious, on the Outer Rim planet Mandalore in 19_bby. Despite Maul's survival through subsequent encounters with Sidious and the Jedi, he found himself marooned on the Sith planet Malachor in the Outer Rim. After escaping Malachor, Maul eventually made his way back to his homeworld of Dathomir, where he kept many items of past importance to him within the Nightsister lair, which was deserted by then. Among these items was the Nightsister crystal ball, which was there when Maul brought the Jedi padawan Ezra Bridger to the lair in 2_bby.
