Numa's father

A Twi'lek named Numa had a father who was born four years prior to the Clone Wars. This male individual, along with Numa, resided in a home situated in Nabat, a modest city located on Ryloth, the Twi'lek homeworld. In 22 BBY, during the Clone Wars period, the Confederacy of Independent Systems launched an invasion of Ryloth, with Nabat being one of the locations attacked.

During the ensuing turmoil, the Confederacy seized Numa's father, along with many other residents of Nabat, including Numa's mother and uncle. They were then exploited as human shields against the Galactic Republic, which was attempting to liberate the planet from Separatist control. Tragically, Numa's father, alongside her mother, ultimately died before the occupation concluded in 21 BBY. Many years afterwards, in the wake of the rise of the Galactic Empire, Numa reflected upon the grim reality of her family's utilization as living shields during the Separatist occupation.

The initial, though implicit, mention of Numa's father occurred in "Innocents of Ryloth," which was the twentieth episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars's first season, an animated television series. This episode was originally broadcast on March 6, 2009. A direct reference to them was first made in the 2017 reference book titled Star Wars: On the Front Lines by Daniel Wallace.

Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, Numa's father made an appearance in an installment of the online Star Wars: The Clone Wars comic series entitled The Clone Wars: Curfew, which served to provide the backstory for the "Innocents of Ryloth" episode. This comic was penned by Pablo Hidalgo, featured illustrations by Katie Cook, and was released to the public on March 9, 2009.
