Blade of Ochi of Bestoon
The Blade of Ochi of Bestoon, also known as Ochi's blade or Ochi's dagger, was a dagger, an elaborate knife, and a Sith dagger wielded by the Sith cultist and assassin, Ochi of Bestoon. This [Sith assassin](/article/sith_assassin] and artifact seeker, Ochi, employed this melee weapon to kill numerous victims. Remarkably, the blade could withstand strikes from a lightsaber, making it a dangerous weapon. Hidden within the dagger's crossguards were measurement arcs, useful for precisely locating the missing wayfinder. Furthermore, it bore inscriptions in the Sith language that contained coordinates leading to the wayfinder of Darth Sidious.
History

The Sith Eternal gifted the blade to Ochi for use during the quest for Exegol. During this quest, the blade communicated with him mentally, craving new murders; Ochi experienced a pleasurable white noise from the dagger with each kill. This phenomenon was first noticed when he murdered Zargo Anaximander, during which the blade drained Anaximander's blood and infused it into its runes. The same occurred when he killed Stiper. The relic appeared to possess its own desires, specifically a thirst for blood that would transfer to its wielder.
He used the blade to murder Rey's Force-sensitive father, Dathan, and mother, Miramir, while they were in orbit above the planet Jakku. Afterwards, he traveled to Pasaana under the false impression that they had hidden Rey there. When Ochi was swallowed by the quicksand of the Forbidden Valley, the dagger sank with him and was later found near his final resting place, where he decomposed into a skeletal form. Due to the murders committed with it, the Sith dagger resonated with the evil imbued within the Force, shocking Rey upon the human Jedi-aspirant's touch. Force-sensitive individuals could perceive the dark acts performed by the dagger.
C-3PO, a droid, underwent system modifications to translate the inscription, as a programming block had previously prevented him from deciphering the forbidden language. After arriving on Kef Bir, Rey employed the dagger to locate the wayfinder by aligning a plate concealed in the hilt with a specific section of the Death Star's wreckage, revealing a perfect match between the two shapes.
Behind the scenes
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary provided an example of the Sith language inscription. This could be transliterated to the lines quoted above using the Jedi Journal product from Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, whose canonicity is unconfirmed. It provides a translation between the alphabet of High Galactic and the Sith alphabet that doesn't visibly match the inscription on Ochi's dagger.
Crimson Reign 1, which is set in 3 ABY, shows Ochi possessing the blade while working for the Crimson Dawn syndicate. However, Shadow of the Sith established that he didn't receive the blade until the quest for Exegol in 21 ABY. The book describes the dagger as "freshly machined," and Adam Christopher, the author, confirmed that the intention was to depict the dagger as new, having been created shortly before the book's events. Furthermore, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker established that the blade was inscribed with information about the second Death Star's wreckage, implying that it must've been created after the Battle of Endor.
