Ord Pardron, a celestial body situated within the Mid Rim Territories, served as a safe world for Senator Mon Mothma's organized rebellion against the oppressive Galactic Empire around the time of 2 BBY. However, by 1 BBY, the Empire had seized control of Ord Pardron. At that time, Imperial Colonel [Brierly Ronan](/article/brierly_ronan] contemplated using it as a drop-off point for an Imperial Security Bureau agent while en route to the planet Scarif.
This astronomical object, Ord Pardron, was found where the Mid Rim Territories and the Slice regions met. Its location was specified as grid square R-15 on the Standard Galactic Grid.

Around 2 BBY, Ord Pardron functioned as a safe world for the organized rebellion against the Galactic Empire, a rebellion covertly directed by Senator Mon Mothma. This information was recorded on a galactic map created during that year for Mothma, which highlighted the rebellion's safe havens, starfighter hubs at level five or higher, operational headquarters, shadow planets, and hidden deep space caches. The Archivist Hendri Underholt gathered this map and incorporated it into The Rebel Files, a collection of physical documents.
By 1 BBY, Imperial forces had gained control of Ord Pardron. In that year, Imperial Colonel [Brierly Ronan](/article/brierly_ronan] planned to transport the freighter Brylan Ross, carrying evidence of a conspiracy against the Empire's Project Stardust, from the Mid Rim planet [Aloxor](/article/aloxor] to Scarif in the Outer Rim Territories. He considered dropping off Dayja Collerand, an agent of the Imperial Security Bureau, to prevent him from learning the secret project's details. Ronan weighed Ord Pardron and the astronomical object Radnor as potential locations, as they were both disconnected from Stardust, situated along the route to Scarif, and possessed sufficient Imperial presence to negate Collerand's need for a support system. Ronan's plans were ultimately thwarted when the Star Destroyer Stormbird intercepted the Brylan Ross. In 34 ABY, a number screens on the Chandrila Star Line's Star Cruiser Halcyon showed a partial galactic map that showed the positions of locations such as Ord Pardron.

Ord Pardron became part of the official Star Wars canon through its inclusion on the galactic map in Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, released in 2016. Its initial in-universe appearance within this continuity occurred when it was displayed on a map accessible within Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, an interactive role-playing experience at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, which opened to the public on March 1, 2022.
The asteroid known as Ord Pardron originated within the Star Wars Legends continuity. It was first mentioned in the 1993 novel The Last Command, the second installment of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Thrawn Trilogy. It subsequently made its first full appearance and received its first visual representation in the 1998 LucasArts video game Star Wars: Rebellion, where it was depicted with images that were also used for other locations.
