Parang Squad

Parang Squad was a unit of Sith Jetpack Troopers, specifically a squad, serving within the Sith Eternal army. This army was the military arm of the Sith Eternal, a Sith cult devoted to the dark side. Their active period spanned the First Order-Resistance War, culminating in their destruction at the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY. This battle saw the Resistance, bolstered by the Citizens' Fleet (a force of individuals who had risen up across the galaxy), completely wipe out the Sith Eternal. The squad's designation came from the parang weapon.

Description

Parang Squad was comprised of ten Sith Jetpack Troopers (pictured).

Within the Sith Eternal's [army](/article/sith_eternal_army], Parang Squad functioned as an aerial infantry squad for the dark side cult. This particular squad was stationed on Exegol, the planet serving as the throneworld of the cult's base in the Unknown Regions. It was made up of ten Sith Jetpack Troopers, a specialized type of Sith trooper who were the primary soldier of the cult.

Like other Sith Jetpack Trooper squads within the army, the name "Parang Squad" paid tribute to an ancient and devastating dark side weapon called the parang. Being a Sith Jetpack Trooper unit, the squad members wore distinctive crimson Sith trooper armor and were armed with F-11ABA heavy blaster cannons along with NJP-900 integrated jetpacks.

History

The Parang Squad saw action during the First Order-Resistance War, a conflict spanning from 34 ABY to 35 ABY. The Sith Eternal met its end in 35 ABY at the Battle of Exegol, where they faced a combined force of the Resistance and the Citizens' Fleet. This fleet was composed of citizens who had rallied from across the galaxy. In this decisive battle, the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Sidious, along with all his forces, including the Parang Squad, were completely destroyed.
