Piter

Piter, a human and a TIE fighter pilot, was a member of Nath Tensent's squadron. This squadron was under the command of Nath Tensent, who was also a pilot. The squadron operated as part of the Galactic Empire. This group engaged in illicit activities within the Outer Rim. However, in 0 BBY, after their criminal enterprise was discovered by the Empire, Piter and the rest of the squadron switched their allegiance to the Rebel Alliance. Piter piloted a BTL-A4 Y-wing assault starfighter/bomber in over fifty missions for the Alliance. During an attack on the Trenchenovu shipyards, Piter met his end. He was killed in an ambush by the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing. Tensent was the sole survivor of this conflict.

Biography

During the Imperial Era, Piter functioned as a TIE fighter pilot within the ranks of the Galactic Empire. He served under a Colonel stationed in the Western Reaches. He belonged to Nath Tensent's squadron, a unit that conducted a criminal operation spanning eight star systems within the Outer Rim. This squadron extorted percentages from both pirates and smugglers in exchange for turning a blind eye to their activities. They also charged corporations for protection services against these same threats. When the Empire began investigating the squadron's activities, Piter and the entire squadron chose to defect to the Rebel Alliance in 0 BBY.

Piter, piloting a BTL-A4 Y-wing assault starfighter/bomber, participated in more than fifty missions on behalf of the Alliance alongside his squadron. Tensent both safeguarded Piter and imparted his knowledge to him. Sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, Piter's squadron launched an attack against the Trenchenovu shipyards. After dedicating over six weeks to preparing and training for this mission, the squadron approached the shipyards to execute a bombing run. However, just before Piter could release his payload, he was ambushed and ultimately killed by a squadron of TIE fighters belonging to the Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing.

Following Piter's demise, the remaining members of the squadron abandoned their mission. Tensent was the only one who managed to escape the shipyards with his life. Approximately seven months later, Tensent recounted the story of his squadron's destruction, including the death of Piter, to Lieutenant Yrica Quell, and later to the other members of the New Republic's Alphabet Squadron, which Tensent joined that same year. He frequently reflected on the memory of the deceased pilot.

Personality and traits

Piter was a human individual. Despite his tendency to whine in a childish manner, Nath Tensent considered him trustworthy and noted his tenacity when faced with adversity. Piter left a lasting, albeit somewhat fearful, impression on Tensent.

Equipment

During his time with the Galactic Empire, Piter operated a TIE fighter series starfighter. However, after defecting to the Rebel Alliance, he transitioned to piloting a BTL-A4 Y-wing assault starfighter/bomber.
