QT-KT, frequently called Qutee, functioned as an astromech droid and held a position within D-Squad. This squad operated under the command of Colonel Meebur Gascon during the tumultuous period of the Clone Wars. She was the property of Jedi Knight Aayla Secura. The Parwan physician Gubacher enhanced her capabilities by installing a controllable, hovering super magnet. Sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, specifically within the Imperial Era, QT-KT rejoined her former unit to aid her longtime associate, R2-D2, in his struggle against the malevolent Scourge.

QT-KT's presence was recorded during a briefing regarding the Mission to steal a Separatist encryption module, where she stood alongside her master. The Parwan doctor Gubacher provided her with an upgrade: a controlled, hovering super magnet designed for specific tasks. While inside the vault, she utilized this magnet to gather and neutralize the surrounding swarm mines.
Following the tragic death of Aayla Secura during the execution of Order 66, QT sought refuge on Ryloth, finding a home with Loris Cona, a close acquaintance of her previous owner.
QT-KT, an R-series astromech droid, was designed with feminine programming. Her height was measured at 1.09 meters, equivalent to 3 feet and 7 inches. A notable feature was her remote-controlled magnet that could detach from her dome and float independently. During D-Squad's infiltration of the Separatist dreadnaught, QT employed her magnet to gather swarm mines, and subsequently, she launched these mines at Aut-O's forces upon reaching the room in C-Deck containing the critical encryption module. Furthermore, QT was equipped with a Rocket booster.
