A Providence-class Dreadnought, utilized by the Confederacy of Independent Systems's naval forces, functioned as the flagship for a Separatist fleet. This particular fleet was under the command of the ST-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid Commander Aut-O during the Clone Wars. During 19 BBY, a squad of Galactic Republic droids infiltrated the dreadnought to seize an encryption module held onboard. Although the squad successfully escaped the vessel with the encryption module, Aut-O met his end in a brief engagement with the droids.
The vessel, being a Providence-class Dreadnought, featured a primary Hangar bay along with a command bridge. Furthermore, the dreadnought was outfitted with a tractor beam projector and carried a complement of B1-series battle droids and B2-series super battle droids as passengers.
In 19 BBY of the Clone Wars, the ST-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid known as Aut-O exercised command over a substantial fleet of Separatist warships situated within a region of space. The dreadnought that flagged this fleet became the targeted objective of a squad of Galactic Republic droids, led by Zilkin Colonel Meebur Gascon. These droids were dispatched by the Republic with the mission of boarding the dreadnought and absconding with an encryption module that was located within. This encryption module was crucial, as it would enable the Republic to decode an intercepted and encrypted transmission from Separatist General Grievous, thus uncovering the Confederacy's plans.
After their arrival at the fleet's location aboard a stolen Maxillipede shuttle, the DUM-series pit droid designated WAC-47 programmed the squad's shuttle to collide with the dreadnought. However, the dreadnought, having been alerted to their presence, instead utilized a tractor beam to draw the shuttle into its main hangar bay, where several B1 battle droids commenced a search of the vessel.
This Providence-class Dreadnought made its initial appearance, though it was not explicitly identified, in "Secret Weapons," which served as the tenth episode of the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars' fifth season. This episode was originally broadcast on November 30, 2012.
