The "Exclusive Fiction" section, a regular component of Star Wars Insider, presents either brand-new short stories or unique previews from forthcoming Star Wars novels. Leading up to the release of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, it showcased numerous Clone Wars short stories. However, it was temporarily discontinued following issue 88, later reappearing with issue 124 and onward, featuring fresh fiction under the same "Exclusive Fiction" title. Occasionally, excerpts from future novels were released under the alternative title "Fiction Extract."
