Talss

Talss represented the largest landmass found on the planet of Tython. Dubbed the Dark Continent, it was characterized by its sparse population and untamed nature.

Landscape

The most prominent feature defining the Talss continent was undoubtedly the Rift, a vast and profound canyon stretching a thousand kilometers and comprised of volcanic mountains. This area, susceptible to both seismic activity and volcanic eruptions, contained numerous quicksand pits and pools of acid. The imposing Great Temple of Vur Tepe was built directly above an active volcano within the Rift region. This area fostered unique wildlife, and the Je'daii Order erected the Great Temple Anil Kesh over the expansive chasm. As a component of the southeastern portion of the Tythos Ridge, the Rift also encompassed the Abyss of Ruh, a seemingly bottomless pit that served as a source of dark energy.

Along the northern boundary of the Tythos Ridge, the Great Je'daii Temple of Kaleth was situated, which subsequently became the location of a Jedi Temple as well as the Kalikori village.

The southern region of Talss was characterized by unusual and otherworldly landscapes, bordered by gently sloping hills that transitioned into expansive, seemingly endless plains. These plains were notably devoid of significant vegetation due to the harsh and extreme winds. Beyond these plains lay the Red Desert, the location of the Old City. The Je'daii were familiar with the Old City, which had been ancient and deserted since their time. This sprawling city, comprised of collapsed ruins, pyramids, and enigmatic caverns and canals, prompted some Je'daii to theorize that the Gree had constructed it. Others proposed that the Gree had simply occupied pre-existing structures that had been abandoned long ago. By the time Je'daii Journeyer Lanoree Brock pursued her brother, Dalien Brock, into the caverns beneath the city's largest pyramid, most of the structures were buried beneath the sand.
