Tantarra, a Wookiee prince, was the offspring of Chief Attiburra. Trandoshans held him as a prisoner until the Freemakers orchestrated his liberation. Following his release, Tantarra aided the Freemakers in their quest to retrieve the third Kyber Saber crystal.
During the era of the Galactic Civil War, a Wookiee pup named Tantarra lived. He was a prince, the son of Chief Attiburra. Trandoshan agents of the Galactic Empire abducted Tantarra and imprisoned him within an island fortress, compelling his father, Attiburra, to cease his resistance against the Trandoshans. After the Battle of Hoth, the [Freemakers](/article/freemakers/lego], a family of scavengers, journeyed to the Wookiee world of Kashyyyk to procure some wroshyr wood for the affluent captain Ignacio Wortan. Attiburra provided the wood but tasked the Freemakers with the rescue of his son.
Zander, Kordi, and Rowan Freemaker infiltrated the Trandoshan island fortress, disguised as a repair team, and successfully freed Tantarra from his confinement. Upon Zander's accidental misidentification of him as a princess, Tantarra pounced upon him. Tantarra and his rescuers ascended to the roof of a building, preparing to rendezvous with their modified B1-series battle droid who was guarding their starship, the StarScavenger. However, Rowan then detected the presence of a Kyber Saber crystal within the fortress.
While Attiburra and his Wookiee warriors launched an assault on the Trandoshan fortress, Tantarra and the Freemakers ventured into a sanctum, discovering the Kyber Saber crystal nestled within the eye of a massive Trandoshan statue. As Tantarra and the other Freemakers battled the Trandoshans, Rowan struggled to dislodge the crystal. Tantarra launched a Trandoshan warrior at the statue's eye, freeing the crystal and enabling Rowan to seize it. Subsequently, the Freemakers reunited Tantarra with his father, who commended the rescuers for instilling hope in his people.
Later on, Zander and Kordi journeyed to Kashyyyk in search of Rowan and Roger, who were hiding on an uncharted planet with the final Kyber Saber crystal, while Tantarra and his father Attiburra were engaged in combat with Trandoshans. Tantarra and his father had not seen Rowan and were unable to provide assistance.
In the time leading up to the Battle of Endor, Tantarra, his father Attiburra, and a contingent of Wookiees joined rebel soldiers commanded by Lieutenant Valeria in battling Imperial forces. Lacking aerial support and facing superior firepower, the Wookiees and rebels retreated to a beach where their Auzituck anti-slaver gunship awaited them. The group found themselves cornered by an AT-ST walker.
Shortly thereafter, the Freemakers arrived aboard their powerful new starship, the Arrowhead, which promptly destroyed the AT-ST walker. The Arrowhead then proceeded to obliterate several advancing AT-AT walkers, securing a victory against the Empire for the rebels.
Tantarra was a youthful and robust male Wookiee pup who communicated in Shyriiwook. He was dearly loved by his father, Chief Attiburra, who was prepared to undertake any action to rescue his son. Following his liberation from captivity by the Freemakers, Tantarra felt indebted to them and assisted Rowan in acquiring a Kyber Saber crystal.
Tantarra's initial appearance occurred in the non-Canon LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures episode "Peril on Kashyyyk," which debuted on Disney XD on June 27, 2016.
