Tavoy

Tavoy served as a pilot within the New Republic's Grey Squadron during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Sometime in the period spanning from 11 ABY to 19 ABY, Tavoy took part in a mission with the objective of locating the Imperial warlord known as X1 on the planet of Dathomir. It was there that this pilot met their end, killed by an explosive device that had been secretly attached to Tavoy's X-wing starfighter by an Imperial saboteur.

Biography

Service to the New Republic

Tavoy was a member of Grey Squadron.

During the Galactic Civil War, Tavoy functioned as a pilot for the New Republic, holding a position in Grey Squadron, which was a New Republic military unit under the command of Jedi Knight X2. Somewhere between the years of 11 ABY and 19 ABY, Grey Squadron became involved in a pursuit of X2's sibling, the Imperial warlord X1. Following the receipt of intelligence indicating that X1 was operating from a base located on the planet Dathomir, X2 spearheaded a mission to that location, with Tavoy and the other members of the squadron accompanying him.

The squadron traveled to Dathomir aboard their X-wing starfighters, choosing to land in the center of the planet's swamps to avoid being detected. The pilots soon came across an Imperial base that had previously belonged to X1. However, the Empire had already abandoned the base, and it was in the process of being taken over by a different group, specifically the Nightsister clan of Dathomiri Witches, who were actively fighting the few remaining Imperials within the base's confines.

Victim of a terrorist

While X2 and three other members of the squadron were clearing the base of both the Nightsisters and X1's forces, Tavoy and the majority of the squadron stayed with their ships at the landing zone. X2 and Grey Squadron member Shara then entered the base to retrieve data from X1's personal computer.

X2 Force-choked the Imperial saboteur responsible for Tavoy's death.

During the absence of X2 and Shara, one of X1's Imperials managed to sneak into the squadron's landing site and attach detonation packs to the squadron's X-wings. The explosives were then triggered, resulting in significant losses for Grey Squadron. Tavoy was killed in the explosions, along with other pilots such as Watkins and Ryder.

The surviving members of the attack were able to capture the Imperial saboteur. Upon X2 and Shara's return to the landing site, they were horrified to witness the aftermath of the terrorist act. Consumed by anger at the loss of Tavoy and the other pilots, X2 was overwhelmed by emotion and used the Force-choke on the Imperial, before Shara managed to calm him down. The surviving members of Grey Squadron then proceeded to destroy an Imperial-class Star Destroyer that was orbiting the planet, and they departed from Dathomir to continue their search for X1.
