Taymor, a Sith belonging to the Lost Tribe of Sith, was a female Human. Functioning as the thoughtcrier on the vessel Candra, she possessed the power to project thoughts using the Force. This dark-skinned woman, barely in her twenties, participated in High Lord Edell Vrai's doomed expedition to Alanciar in 2975 BBY. The Alanciari air force, consisting of uvak-riding warriors armed with hand-ballistas that launched diamond flak, shot down this ill-fated mission, and pursued its survivors. Taymor was struck by numerous projectiles during the fight and ultimately died from her injuries.
A member of the Lost Tribe of Sith, Taymor was one of the Human Sith who had made their home on the planet Kesh during the Great Hyperspace War. She came of age during the era of the Hilts Restoration, taking part in the Tribe's endeavors to reach and seize control of Alanciar, a continent in Kesh's southern region. Taymor excelled in thought projection, a Force ability that allowed the Tribe to transmit feelings and communications across considerable distances. In 2975 BBY, she was a member of the Tribe's expeditionary mission to Alanciar, serving on board the airship Candra. Taymor was among a ten-member team that included Captain Edell Vrai, Peppin the uvak caretaker, five warriors including Ulbrick and Janns, and two Keshiri ambassadors including Tellpah. Her captain, Vrai, had invented the Tribe's airships after discovering that methane extracted from the volcano Sessal Spire could be converted to hydrogen to fuel gasbags.
Taymor journeyed with the Sith reconnaissance party across the Western Sea to Alanciar's southeastern peninsula, known as the Six Claws. Upon reaching the Alanciar coast, she used the Force to sense the continent's landscape. Taymor also perceived a significant concentration of emotions and energy in Alanciar, indicating a large population. However, she and Vrai observed no urban centers. Soon after, the other two airships, Lillia and Dann Itra, were destroyed by dark javelins launched from Alanciari ballista positions in the Six Claws. The Sith had thus established contact with the Keshiri inhabitants of Alanciar, quickly realizing their strong military capabilities that could resist invasion.
Before her demise, Taymor was able to send a telepathic message to the Tribe's capital, Tahv, conveying feelings of shock, surprise, and bewilderment. This provided the Tribe with some indication that Edell's expedition had met with disaster and that the Alanciari were capable of resisting a Sith invasion. Before she could finish her message, she was struck by diamond flak projectiles that pierced the hejarbo flooring beneath her. Edell witnessed her death, noting that her body was riddled with numerous shining diamond projectiles. Taymor's remains were likely incinerated or destroyed after the Candra crashed near the Alanciari fort of Point Defiance.
Despite her death, Edell and six other Sith expedition members survived the battle. They managed to capture two Alanciari Keshiri, Jogan Halder the signal officer and Quarra Thayn his lover and Wardmaster, and also obtained valuable information on what the Alanciari knew about the Sith. Edell's crew then commandeered an Alanciari harvester, Mischance, which they used to return to their continent of Keshtah Minor via the Southern Passage and Sea of Flames. Ultimately, the Sith succeeded in conquering Alanciar by using Jogan Halder to persuade the Alanciari that the Sith posed no actual threat.
Taymor was a proficient and gifted thoughtcrier, capable of transmitting messages through the Force. During the Lost Tribe of Sith's mission to Alanciar, a new continent, she showed unwavering loyalty and obedience to her captain, Edell Vrai.
Taymor's first appearance was as a minor character lacking a point of view in John Jackson Miller's novella, Lost Tribe of the Sith: Pandemonium, which was published on July 24 2012 as part of the paperback collection Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith: The Collected Stories.
