The ninth episode of LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures's first season, an animated TV show, is called "The Kyber Saber Crystal Chase". In the overall series, it holds the ninth spot. It was initially shown on Disney XD on August 1, 2016.

The Freemakers are on Takodana, and they're quite sure that Naare won't find any more Kyber Saber crystals, so they're getting ready to leave. Unfortunately for Rowan, Naare shows up in the Eclipse Fighter and takes the fourth kyber crystal. They chase her into space, but Graballa's ship, the Rancor's Fist, attacks them. To escape, the Freemakers jump into hyperspace. Even though Graballa is annoyed that they're gone, Naare assures him that she can track them. The Freemakers devise a strategy to steal the remaining kyber crystals to stop Naare from putting the Kyber Saber back together. They realize that the next two crystals are located on Naboo and Ningoth. They decide to head to Ningoth first, as it's farther away and Naare will likely go for the obvious choice. Roger isn't happy with either option, since Naboo is full of battle droids and Ningoth's wet environment will make his metal body rust.

On Ningoth, Zander shows Rowan and Kordi his submarine, which they think is so cute that Kordi names it the Bubbly Subbly. While Roger stays on the StarScavenger, the Freemakers take the Bubbly Subbly into Ningoth's deep waters. After getting some confusing directions, they find the crystal in the antenna of an opee sea killer. The opee sea killer uses the crystal to light up its hunting grounds. They decide to trade their spotlight for the crystal after a short fight. Rowan uses the Force to fix the broken light. They meet up with Roger on Ningoth's surface after the exchange.
Before the Freemakers can leave on the StarScavenger, Naare and Graballa attack them again. While Roger uses the Star Scavenger's gun to hold off the Rancor's Fist, the other Freemakers use the Bubbly Subbly to pull the Eclipse Fight underwater. After a struggle, they cut the tow cable and launch the sub into the ship's cargo area. Naare uses the Force to grab the fifth kyber crystal from Rowan's hand and leaves in the Eclipse Fighter before the StarScavenger's back door can close. The Freemakers then escape into hyperspace, causing a wave that floods Naare and the Rancor's Fist.
The Freemakers are arguing about how Naare found them. Kordi says that Naare seems to know where they're going. Zander adds that they went to a planet where they were the only things on the surface, making them easy to spot. Roger then jokes that Rowan isn't the only one who's bad at this, but the others don't like it. Rowan then says that Roger also knows what to say sarcastically. Back on Ningoth, Graballa and Naare are talking about the expensive damage to the Rancor's Fist's engines caused by the sea water. Naare doesn't care about such "trivialities". When Graballa complains that he seems to be paying for everything, Naare tells him that the "trash-pickers" won't get away for long and that she can track them. Graballa then tries to impress Naare, but Dengar isn't ready.

The Freemakers' next stop is Naboo, which Roger thinks is a graveyard for battle droids. They land in Theed, the capital city, and find out that the sixth crystal is hidden in the former royal palace, which is now the Emperor Palpatine Museum. Wick Cooper, who calls himself Palpatine's "No 1" fan, skips the line. The Freemakers know they can't just wander around a museum in broad daylight, so they decide to break in at night.
Roger suggests going into the Emperor Palpatine Museum disguised with a fake mustache. But Zander has a better idea: he'll sneak Roger into the Museum disguised as a retired B1-series battle droid from the Clone Wars. Zander pretends to be a delivery worker to get into the Museum. While he's pushing his "cargo" through the Museum, he almost runs into the Imperial General Durpin and Commander Plumestriker, who are in charge of guarding the exhibits. The officers joke about how stupid it is to try to break into the Emperor Palpatine Museum. When they come up to Zander, Roger avoids being seen by putting on the fake mustache.
Later that night, Rowan, Kordi, and Zander are waiting outside the Emperor Palpatine Museum to be let in. Generals Durpin and Plumestriker are playing holochess to pass the time when Roger breaks out of his glass case. Plumestriker hears the glass breaking, but Durpin doesn't care because he's too busy with the game. Roger leads the other Freemakers into the Museum. When Kordi talks about rich people and their palaces, Zander plays with a cheap Palpatine voice changer souvenir. But Kordi and Rowan tell Zander to focus on their mission to find the sixth kyber crystal.
Soon, Roger gets sidetracked and tries to see his fellow battle droid R0-HK in a Clone Wars exhibit. While Kordi and Rowan keep working on the mission, Zander is distracted by an N-1 starfighter hanging from the ceiling. Kordi tries to stay focused, but she's soon drawn in by the sight of Queen Amidala's gowns in a nearby exhibit. Rowan decides to stay focused, but he's briefly distracted by a motorized pogostick. However, Rowan decides not to get distracted from the mission and comes across several statues of Emperor Palpatine at different points in his life.
Rowan is scared by a talking statue of Darth Sidious and knocks over the statues. One of the heads breaks off and rolls down the hall, startling Roger as he's telling the inactive R0-HK about his days as the head of the salvage operation. The head knocks Roger into the other exhibits, which sets off their blasters. The blast bounces off several stormtrooper helmets before knocking the hanging N-1 starfighter exhibit into the Theed Hangar. The noise tells the relaxed Durpin and Plumestriker that there are intruders in the Emperor Palpatine Museum. Durpin tries to ignore the problem, but Plumestriker sounds the alarm and tells the stormtrooper guards to search the Museum.

Meanwhile, Kordi, who is wearing Queen Amidala's royal gown, finds Roger helping Zander out of the fallen N-1 starfifghter exhibit in the Theed Hangar. She asks the "Nerf herders" what they're doing before defending her right to have fun. Before the three can leave at Zander's urging, they are cornered by Plumestriker and stormtroopers. Durpin, who is tired of promotions and ceremonies, tries to get Plumestriker to let the intruders go and call them "mischievous" kids. But Plumestriker remembers the Freemakers from their earlier meeting on Kashyyyk and says that they will be punished for their crimes. To respect General Durpin, he decides to skip the paperwork and tells the stormtroopers to kill the Freemakers.
Before the Imperials can kill the intruders, Rowan shows up disguised in Palpatine's robes and wearing a Palpatine voice changer. He scolds Durpin and Plumestriker for trying to hurt "generous" donors. Durpin begs the "Emperor" for forgiveness and offers to be demoted to Ensign, which the fake Emperor accepts and tells them to leave. After the Imperials leave the hangar, Kordi and Zander thank Rowan for thinking quickly and being clever. Zander tells Rowan they have to leave, but his younger brother insists that they can't leave without the Kyber Saber crystal. Rowan finds that the sixth crystal is hidden inside Kordi's "Queen" headdress.
Before they can leave the Emperor Palpatine Museum, Naare and the bounty hunter Dengar corner them to get the sixth kyber crystal. Dengar shoots the headdress off Kordi's head, which makes her angry. Kordi and Zander hide, but Roger fires back with a working blaster he found in the Clone Wars exhibit. Rowan and Naare fight for the crystal using the Force. Naare uses the Force to grab the crystal, but Rowan fights her with her stolen Sith lightsaber. But Naare is stronger than him and throws him against the fallen N-1 starfighter.
Zander tries to knock out Dengar with a mug, but it doesn't work. Roger is trapped by the armed bounty hunter. When one of Dengar's blaster shots hits R0-HK, Roger gets angry and chases the bounty hunter out of the hangar with a blaster. Meanwhile, Rowan wakes up to find Naare standing in front of him, holding both the Jedi and Sith lightsabers. Before she can kill Rowan, the boy uses the Force to break the bolt holding the hanging N-1 fighter. The fighter falls, causing an explosion that destroys the other ships in the hangar and makes the Museum collapse. The Freemakers escape before the Museum collapses, and Roger promises not to forget R0-HK. Rowan manages to steal Naare's Jedi lightsaber and says that the color suits him better. But they have to leave the sixth Kyber Saber crystal behind with Naare.

Later, Graballa is condescending to Naare about her "master plan," which he calls getting an entire Museum dropped on her head. Naare angrily replies that her plan was to get the sixth Kyber Saber crystal at any cost. Graballa retorts, "Maybe you can tell that to the Emperor when he asks what you have done to his Museum." Durpin tries to say that the damage was a drill, but he slips on the rubble.
Meanwhile in hyperspace, Rowan asks how Naare got so close to them. Kordi and Zander are sure that they're not sending their every move to anyone. Roger then says that his transmission pack has been sending signals since their last adventure on Tatooine. Graballa and Naare are listening to the conversation. When Graballa asks what they will do next since their transmitter has been found out, Naare tells him not to worry because she now knows that the seventh and last Kyber Saber crystal is on the ice planet of Hoth.
