The Jedi weapon wielded by Sith agent Naare and later by the Force-sensitive Rowan Freemaker, Rowan Freemaker's lightsaber, played a significant role in the search for the Kyber Saber crystals. This lightsaber was taken by Rowan from Naare during their duel which took place on Naboo. As he trained to become a Jedi, Rowan utilized the blue lightsaber under the guidance of Jek-14, a former Sith clone, and Roger, the B1-series battle droid. He later used the weapon in a duel against Naare at the Freemaker Garage, and also in combat against M-OC.
Agent Naare of the Sith possessed a blue lightsaber in addition to her red Sith lightsaber. While pretending to be a Jedi, Naare utilized her blue lightsaber to combat a dianoga and multiple stormtroopers. Her goal was to earn the trust of Rowan Freemaker and his family, known as the Freemakers. Rowan became distracted during one of Naare's Jedi training sessions and began playing with her blue lightsabers. Naare redirected his focus by requesting that he use the Force to locate a Kyber Saber crystal within the Belgaroth asteroid field.
Naare carried her blue lightsaber on a mission to Cloud City in pursuit of one of the Kyber Saber crystals. She used her lightsaber to assist Kordi and Zander Freemaker in rescuing Rowan from Graballa's bounty hunters, specifically Dengar, Baash, and Raam. Later, during a skirmish on the planet Tatooine against Graballa's subordinates, Naare once again used her blue lightsaber. Although she successfully rescued the Freemakers, Rowan discovered her true identity as a Sith.
Naare utilized her Jedi lightsaber to forcefully gain entry to the Freemaker Garage. She soon realized that Rowan and his family were aware that she was a Sith. After a short conflict, the Freemakers fled into space, taking her Sith lightsaber with them. During her initial meeting with Graballa, she brandished her blue lightsaber but put it away after forming an alliance with the Hutt crime lord. Naare agreed to assist Graballa in hunting down the Freemakers in exchange for repairs to her ship.
During a duel with Rowan at the Emperor Palpatine Museum on Naboo, Naare brandished her blue lightsaber. She quickly gained the advantage over the young Jedi and recovered her Sith lightsaber. Wielding both lightsabers, Naare attempted to either kill or capture Rowan. However, Rowan used the Force to cause a hanging N-1 starfighter to collapse, triggering an explosion that destroyed the Museum. Rowan then stole Naare's blue lightsaber, claiming that it was more to his liking, and left Naare with only her Sith lightsaber.
Subsequently, Rowan used his newly acquired blue lightsaber to defend himself against several hostile droids on the junkyard planet of Zoh. This continued until Jek-14, the former Sith clone, de-escalated the situation. Rowan later used the lightsaber to defend himself against mutinous droids led by N-3RO. He deflected a blast towards a generator, causing it to explode. Despite his efforts, he and Jek-14 were overwhelmed by the droids. Rowan activated his lightsaber again during a brief confrontation with Naare, but Jek-14 intervened and told Rowan and his family to leave while he held Naare back.
During a mission to the icy planet of Hoth, Rowan used his lightsaber to light the way for himself and his siblings as they traversed an ice cave. They discovered the seventh Kyber Saber crystal but became trapped by a cave-in. Rowan used his lightsaber to dig them out. He later activated his blue lightsaber when confronted by Naare following a skirmish between the Freemakers' improvised vehicles and Naare and Graballa's ships. The Freemakers escaped into a nearby cave after Naare was run over by Imperial officers Durpin and Plumestriker, who were fleeing from an enraged mother wampa and her child.
While hiding on an uncharted world with the B1-series battle droid Roger and the seventh Kyber Saber crystal, Rowan used his blue lightsaber in a training session against training droids. He also used Roger's memories of the Clone Wars to learn combat techniques from various Jedi, including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Mace Windu. Rowan later used his blue lightsaber in combat against Naare during a duel at the Freemaker Garage. Despite his improved skills, he could not prevent Naare from stealing Roger's head, which contained the location of the seventh Kyber Saber crystal.
During their mission on Coruscant to steal the Kyber Saber from Naare, Rowan Freemaker used his lightsaber to disable a probe droid that was attacking Zander. After stealing the ancient weapon, Zander used Rowan's lightsaber to mislead pursuing TIE fighters into thinking he had the Kyber Saber, leading them on a chase through Coruscant's skylanes. Meanwhile, Rowan and Kordi escaped aboard the StarScavenger with the real Kyber Saber into hyperspace.
After the Freemakers joined the Rebel Alliance, Rowan Freemaker used his lightsaber to cut a hole in the floor of Lieutenant Colvett Valeria's Y-wing to allow himself and Roger to sneak out following the assault on Strike Station Aurek. Later, during a mission to rescue Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca, Rowan used his lightsaber to remove the fuel intermixer from an Imperial Star Destroyer.
On the planet Tibalt, Rowan Freemaker used his lightsaber in a duel against the Imperial hunter droid M-OC. M-OC later blamed the failure of his mission on the lack of information about Rowan's lightsaber in the Imperial database. Rowan also used his lightsaber in a duel against M-OC at the Tower of Alistan Nor. Despite dropping his lightsaber, Rowan managed to collapse a balcony onto M-OC, damaging the droid and giving himself, Roger, and Quarrie enough time to return to the Home One.
Following a Force vision, Rowan began a quest to construct the Arrowhead, a ship believed to be capable of changing the course of the Galactic Civil War. During a mission on the acidic world of Taul to retrieve a proton suspension housing, Rowan used his lightsaber in a duel against M-OC.
Rowan also used his lightsaber against Graballa's bounty hunters during a mission to obtain an energy matrix activator from the Freemakers' former home on the Wheel space station. Rowan later used his lightsaber in combat against M-OC during a mission to obtain kyber crystals on the planet Qalydon.
Later, Rowan used his lightsaber during an unauthorized mission to Qalydon to rescue the Lurmen Maynar. This turned out to be a trap set by M-OC, who defeated Rowan in combat. Rowan was eventually captured by Darth Vader and taken back to Coruscant.
During a duel with M-OC on the stormy world of Shantipole, Rowan later used his lightsaber. Although M-OC had the advantage, the droid abandoned the duel after learning about a flaw in the second Death Star.
During the Battle of Jakku, Rowan used his lightsaber to cut through the legs of an Imperial AT-AT walker. Years later, Roger recounted this event to Rowan's niece Moxie Freemaker.
The lightsaber used by Naare and later Rowan Freemaker first appeared in the first season of LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, which aired on Disney XD from June 20 to August 29, 2016. The lightsaber also appeared in the series' second season, which aired between June 17 and August 16, 2017, as well as in the LEGO Star Wars: All-Stars short episode "The Power of Jakku," which premiered on November 10, 2018.
