Qalydon

Qalydon, a planet inhabited by the Lurmen, was situated within the galaxy.

Description

This planet, Qalydon, was characterized by its landscape entirely composed of hills, mountains and plains, and it resided in the Qalydon system of the galaxy. The Lurmen species maintained at least one village on Qalydon. The planet's atmosphere was suitable for oxygen-breathing beings, including humans. Furthermore, Qalydon was home to a population of kaadu, which the Lurmen had domesticated.

History

Lurmen migrants, seeking to peacefully practice their worship of the Force with kyber crystal necklaces, established a settlement on Qalydon. During the Imperial Era, the planet was regarded as isolated. During the quest to construct the Arrowhead, the Freemakers journeyed to the Lurmen village on Qalydon, aiming to gather information about acquiring kyber crystals. Initially met with hostility by the villagers, they were eventually welcomed as guests after Kordi Freemaker convinced them that they were not affiliated with the Galactic Empire.

Subsequently, Imperial officers Durpin and Plumestriker launched a raid on the village, seizing the villagers' crystals. After Rowan Freemaker downed their Gozanti-class cruiser in the mountainous terrain, the Freemakers embarked on a mission to retrieve the crystals, aided by Chief Biz's daughter, Maynar. Despite an attack by the Imperial hunter droid M-OC, the Freemakers successfully recovered the crystals from the Imperials.

Later, M-OC deceived Rowan by posing as Maynar, exploiting their friendship to lure him into a trap on Qalydon. However, he was then ambushed by Darth Vader, the second-in-command to the Emperor, who captured Rowan for the Emperor. Roger was able to make his way back to the Alliance Fleet and alert Zander and Kordi regarding their brother's abduction.
