As chief of a Lurmen village situated on the planet Qalydon during the Imperial Era, Biz was a male Lurmen. He was Elan's husband and Maynar's father; Maynar played a role in the Freemakers' efforts to free their village from the control of the Galactic Empire.
During the time of the Imperial Era, Biz held the position of Chief within a Lurmen village located on the planet Qalydon. For countless generations, his people had resided on this world, expressing reverence for the Force through the use of kyber crystals. Biz was married to Elan, and together they had a daughter named Maynar, who did not share her father's enthusiasm for the Force and kyber crystals.
When the Freemakers journeyed to Qalydon as part of their quest to construct the Arrowhead starship, Biz noticed their vessel from afar, commenting that it didn't seem to be associated with the Imperial forces. Initially, the Lurmen villagers regarded the Freemakers with suspicion when they revealed their purpose of seeking kyber crystals. Following a short disagreement, Kordi Freemaker successfully convinced the Lurmen that they were not aligned with the Imperials.
Later that evening, Chief Biz, along with his wife Elan, welcomed the Freemakers and their droid Roger, sharing insights into their community's history and the significance of the kyber crystals. Biz explained that while his people could not relinquish their ancestral treasures, he was unable to provide information regarding the location of other crystals.
Not long after, Imperial forces, under the command of Imperial officers Durpin and Plumestriker, launched a raid on the village. The Imperials confiscated their kyber crystals for use in the second Death Star. However, Rowan, the youngest of the Freemakers, utilized the laser cannons of the Freemakers' ship StarScavenger to force the Imperials to retreat. The Imperials fled in their Gozanti-class cruiser, which ultimately crashed into a nearby mountain.
While the Freemakers embarked on a mission to retrieve the kyber crystals, Biz remained behind with Roger and Elan, assisting in the village's reconstruction efforts. Roger attempted to showcase his carpentry skills by repairing a wall, but it consistently collapsed. Elan called for their daughter Maynar, who had joined the Freemakers on their mission to recover the crystals from the Imperials.
With Maynar's assistance, the Freemakers successfully recovered the crystals from Durpin and Plumestriker, even after being attacked by the Imperial hunter droid M-OC and the Imperials making a second escape on their ship. Following the successful rescue, Biz expressed his gratitude to the Freemakers for recovering his people's crystals and offered to give them to the Freemakers. However, Rowan, not wanting to deprive the Lurmen of their crystals, politely declined their offer.
Biz was a male Lurmen characterized by grey fur, brown eyes, and a white beard. He championed the traditional way of life for the Lurmen villagers. He held a strong belief in the Force and deeply valued his people's traditional kyber crystal necklaces, which had been passed down through generations. Biz did not think highly of Roger's carpentry abilities.
Biz earned the respect of the Freemakers after they successfully recovered his people's crystals. In gratitude, he offered them the crystals, but Rowan declined, as he did not want to deprive the Lurmen of their cherished heirlooms.
Biz made his debut appearance in the LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Season Two episode titled "The Lost Crystals of Qalydon," which premiered on Disney XD on August 7, 2017. Jeff Bennett provided the voice for the character.
