Tosan, a Zygerrian Jedi Master, dedicated herself to the service of both the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic after the Battle of Naboo. Sometime between the years of 32 BBY and 29 BBY, this Zygerrian Master informed Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi that the Jedi Council had a mission for him. This mission related to a Jedi holocron that had been discovered on the planet of Dallenor. As a Jedi Guardian known for her tenacity, Tosan's weapon of choice was a double-bladed lightsaber that emitted a yellow blade.

Tosan, who once held the rank of Jedi Knight as a Jedi Guardian, later achieved the rank of Jedi Master through her service to the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic. At some point between 32 BBY and 29 BBY, Tosan encountered Obi-Wan Kenobi at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. During this meeting, she conveyed that the Jedi Council had tasked him with a mission to the Mid Rim planet of Dallenor.
Tosan interrupted Kenobi's training session with his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, to deliver a datapad containing the details of his assignment. His task was to investigate the discovery of an ancient Jedi holocron, an information-storage Jedi artifact, by an archaeology team conducting an excavation on Dallenor.

The double-bladed lightsaber wielded by Jedi Master Tosan emitted a yellow-colored blade. She wore Jedi robes of brown color, along with a green overtunic and brown undertunic, a utility belt, and brown boots. She would also sometimes wear brown gloves.
Tosan made her debut as the playable character "Jedi Knight Guardian" in the 2015 mobile game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. This game incorporates characters and ships from both the canon and Legends universes. Later, her name was revealed in the canon one-shot comic Age of Republic - Obi-Wan Kenobi 1, which was written by Jody Houser, with illustrations by [Cory Smith](/article/cory_smith], and published by Marvel Comics on January 2, 2019. Houser, a fan of the mobile game, was the one who decided to include Tosan in the comic book.
Artist Noah Soliday Bench designed the "Jedi Knight Guardian" character for Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. While neither the game nor the comic explicitly state Tosan's pronouns, Bench and Houser both refer to the character using she/her pronouns. Within the game, the non-playable characters "Jedi Guardian" and "Apprentice Sentinel" share the same character model as Tosan. However, the latter character's lightsaber has orange blades.
