Trasse

The planet Trasse, situated in the Mid Rim Territories within the Near Perlemian region, came under the Rebel Alliance's control as part of their offensive into the Mid Rim. However, following the Galactic Empire's counter-offensive that caused the campaign to collapse in 2 ABY, the planet was evacuated. Subsequently, in 4 ABY, Cynabar's InfoNet released a news story that included Trasse alongside three additional Mid Rim planets as possible locations of rebel activity, prompted by circulating rumors of a high-ranking Alliance figure journeying to the Perlamian.

Description

Trasse was a planet that could be found in the Mid Rim Territories, specifically within the Near Perlemian area.

History

During the Galactic Civil War period, fought between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, the Empire held dominion over Trasse. Around 1 ABY, the Alliance initiated a offensive into the Mid Rim, seizing control of several worlds including Trasse. However, the Empire's counter-offensive in 2 ABY resulted in the campaign's failure, necessitating the Alliance troops' retreat to more secure locations. Consequently, Trasse was slated for evacuation, together with Charros IV, Durkteel, Jeyell, Ord Tiddell, and Pothor.

Carlist Rieekan (pictured) reported on the planned withdrawal from Trasse to Mon Mothma.

General Carlist Rieekan documented the situation in a confidential report for Mon Mothma, the Alliance's Commander-in-Chief, which listed Trasse and the other five planets. This report was eventually added to The Rebel Files, a collection of non-electronic documents maintained by archivist Hendri Underholt.

In 4 ABY, Underholt journeyed to Durkteel, serving as a diversion for Mothma. This strategy was designed to distract the Empire from the Alliance's preparations for their attack on the Empire's second Death Star battle station. Following the Alliance's deliberate dissemination of rumors about a high-ranking Alliance leader traveling to the Near Perlemian, Cynabar's InfoNet suggested Trasse, along with Durkteel, Jeyell, and Ord Tiddell, as potential sites for a rebel conference or the establishment of a new Alliance base. Before being killed during the Empire's bombardment of their position on Durkteel, Underholt added a copy of the report to The Rebel Files.

Behind the scenes

Within current Star Wars canon, Trasse is mentioned in the 2017 reference book and boxed set Star Wars: The Rebel Files, authored by Daniel Wallace. Trasse initially appeared as an asteroid within the Star Wars Legends continuity, first featured in the 2000 LucasArts video game Star Wars: Force Commander.
