A female Hynestian held the position of queen on the Colonies planet of Hynestia Prime during the era known as the High Republic Era. In the year 382 BBY, members belonging to the Path of the Open Hand cult stole a Force artifact called the Rod of Seasons from the Hynestian royal palace; this artifact was the property of the queen. Following this incident, she requested assistance from the Jedi Order to retrieve the artifact. However, the Jedi who were assigned to the task—Jedi Master Zallah Macri and her Padawan, Kevmo Zink—were unsuccessful, and the group retained possession of the rod.

During the High Republic Era, a female Hynestian individual from the Hynestian royal family lived. By 382 BBY, this individual reigned as queen over the Colonies planet of Hynestia Prime. The queen possessed the Rod of Seasons, a Force artifact that was one of a set of three capable of controlling the Force-eating Nameless creatures. It was stored within the Royal Treasury of the Hynestian royal palace, situated in Hynestia's capital city. In that year, during a local festival, the Children of the Open Hand—a group within the Path of the Open Hand cult who sought Force artifacts for the Path's leader, Elecia Zeveron—stole the rod; among the thieves was the Evereni Yana Ro.
The theft of the Rod of Seasons greatly angered the queen, and she subsequently requested the Jedi Order's assistance in its recovery. Five days afterward, Jedi Master Zallah Macri informed her Padawan, Kevmo Zink, about the rod's theft from the queen. Being the Jedi closest to the Path's location on the Outer Rim planet Dalna, they traveled there to investigate the incident. Upon arriving, Zink mentally registered the queen's furious reaction to the rod's disappearance and her plea for the Order's help. However, the Jedi's efforts to retrieve the Rod of Seasons on Dalna ultimately failed, and the Path's Guide Marda Ro eventually acquired the rod, which later came into the possession of her descendant, Marchion Ro.
