A Nikto male, specifically a Force-sensitive Kajain'sa' individual, functioned as a Jedi under the authority of both the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic during the era of the Clone Wars. During 19 BBY, this Jedi, along with another Jedi named Finn Ertay, encountered two Zabrak brothers, identified as Maul and Savage Opress, at a spaceport situated within the Outer Rim Territories. In the duel that unfolded, Maul delivered a kick to the Nikto's chest, causing him to fall to his knees. Ertay attempted to protect her fellow Jedi by sliding under Maul, but this action left her vulnerable to a killing blow from Maul. Shortly after this event, the Nikto Jedi also met his demise.
This Jedi possessed skin of a light brown hue and black eyes. When engaging in combat, he was equipped with Jedi Commander armor, complemented by brown Jedi robes, and wielded a blue single-bladed lightsaber.
This unnamed Jedi made his initial appearance in the introductory newsreel of "Revival," which served as the premiere episode of the fifth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This episode was originally broadcast on September 29, 2012.
A pre-visualization model of this character was utilized in an alternative combat sequence for the episode "Nightsisters," where he was intended to assist in the battle and pursue Asajj Ventress. In this deleted scene, he is referred to as "Master Ma'kis" and aids Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker in cornering Asajj within a hangar bay on a capital ship. Ma'kis became separated from the other three Jedi and was forced to face Ventress alone. The cargo within the hangar bay would have been a hindrance during the battle, distracting Ma'kis and ultimately allowing Ventress to fatally stab him.
The design of this Jedi's model drew inspiration from the model of Jedi Master Ima-Gun Di, who was featured in the Season Three episode "Supply Lines", which took place in 22 BBY and depicted his death.
