The Vaathkree Trade Corridor, a designated hyperspace route, linked Corsin (a planet located on the Hydian Way) to Gizer (a celestial body situated on the Perlemian Trade Route). This route traversed several regions, including the Expansion Region, Inner Rim Territories, Mid Rim Territories, and the New Territories. Prior to the discovery of the Ubdurian trade empire, Galactic Republic scout ships explored this very pathway.
Bearing the same designation as the Outer Rim Territories celestial object Vaathkree, the Vaathkree Trade Corridor was a prominent hyperspace route. The route began at Corsin, a celestial body in the Expansion Region positioned along the Hydian Way. From Corsin, it extended to Ubduria, the Ubdurian homeworld located within the Inner Rim Territories. This connection subsequently linked to Obroa-skai, a planet within the Obroa-skai system of the Inner Rim. Notably, both of these locations were also situated within the New Territories region of the galaxy.
Continuing from that point, the route re-entered the Expansion Region before crossing into the Mid Rim Territories. Within this region, it passed by the celestial body Contruum and Montross, a planet found in the Montross system, ultimately concluding at Gizer, a celestial object located on the Perlemian Trade Route. Furthermore, Telerath, a planet within the Telerath system of the Nouane sector, was also situated along the Inner Rim portion of this route. The Vaathkree Trade Corridor occupied squares M-7, N-7, N-8, O-8, and P-8 on the Standard Galactic Grid.
Prior to the discovery of the Ubdurians' trade empire, Galactic Republic scout ships utilized the Vaathkree Trade Corridor as a means of navigation.
Within the current established Star Wars canon, the initial depiction of the Vaathkree Trade Corridor appeared in "The History of Neimoidia," an article featured in the "Guide to the Galaxy" section of issue fifty-second of the Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine, which was released around December 30, 2015. Its formal identification occurred in Star Wars: Aliens of the Galaxy, a 2016 reference book authored by Jason Fry.
In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Vaathkree Trade Corridor was initially mentioned in "Heroes Need Not Apply," an article penned by Anthony P. Russo and Eric S. Trautmann and published by West End Games in the twelfth issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal series during February, 1997. Its first visual representation was in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace.
