Biography

Wesley Kimmel, an actor with a martial arts background, is originally from Los Angeles. Robert Rodriguez, the director during the casting process for The Book of Boba Fett, chose Kimmel for the role of the Tusken Raider child. Rodriguez specifically sought an actor with physical skills and professionalism, traits he found in Kimmel's martial arts experience. Jon Favreau, the executive producer, noted that Kimmel had no lines and was entirely wrapped in bandages for the show, which premiered on December 29, 2021.

Impressed by Kimmel's performance in The Book of Boba Fett, Favreau and the production team decided to give him an opportunity to show his face in a Star Wars production. Consequently, Kimmel was cast as Ragnar Vizsla, a Mandalorian foundling, in The Mandalorian's third season. He found it challenging to keep his role a secret for an entire year. On March 1, 2023, Kimmel publicly announced his guest appearance on The Mandalorian via Instagram.
