Yudrish Sedran served as a senator within the Galactic Senate, representing the planet of Chalacta. Chalacta was a member of the Galactic Republic. Allegations of bribery from the criminal Pyke Syndicate led to an investigation by the Coruscant Security Force. During a search of Senator Sedran's offices, the security force came across a portrait depicting Pyke capo Lom Pyke, dated to 7941 C.R.C.. Sedran maintained that it was a gift from a cultural exchange program, and his legal representatives successfully defended him against the charges.

Yudrish Sedran was a distinguished senator hailing from the planet Chalacta, a Mid Rim world inhabited by the Chalactan people. Within the Senate of the Galactic Republic, he was the representative for his homeworld. Following accusations that the criminal Pyke Syndicate was bribing Sedran to ignore their expansion beyond Pyke space, the Coruscant Security Force—a law enforcement agency located on Coruscant, the planet where the Senate convened—initiated an investigation into Sedran. The accusations also asserted that Sedran had extended limited diplomatic ambassadorial privileges to Pyke delegates, granting them access to the Senate.
During the investigation, the Coruscant Security Force secured Sedran's residences and offices, meticulously searching for evidence. A portrait of Pyke capo Lom Pyke, dated to 7941 C.R.C., was discovered in one of Sedran's offices. The senator stated that the portrait was a cultural exchange gift from Oba Diah, the Pyke homeworld, which was unincorporated, but the security force seized it as evidence. Their forensics droids identified traces of Kessel spice within the velvet fibers of the canvas.
The spice "signature" enabled sniffer droids and hound units to locate contraband on the docks of Coruscant's Level 1313. Despite this evidence, Sedran's books were in order, and his skilled legal team ultimately succeeded in clearing him of all charges. Inspector Tanivos Divo of the Coruscant Security Force documented the portrait and Sedran in his case files. Some of these files were later published by Divo's grandson, Exantor Divo, in his book Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, released in 34 ABY.
In current Star Wars canon, Yudrish Sedran received a mention in the 2018 reference book titled Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, authored by Pablo Hidalgo. The character initially appeared in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where the senator was referenced in HoloNet News Vol. 531 #55, a May 10, 2002 issue published on the HoloNet News website. Hidalgo and Paul Ens co-authored the article.
