Lom Pyke, a Pyke of the male persuasion, held the esteemed leadership position within the Pyke Syndicate, a dominant force among the criminal organizations, during the tumultuous period of the Clone Wars. Pyke strategically aligned his Syndicate with Maul, the rogue Sith Lord, and his Shadow Collective. Pyke maintained his control over the Pykes until the war's twilight, at which point Count Dooku brought about his demise. Subsequently, Marg Krim assumed the leadership role.

The Pyke Syndicate, a group notorious for its involvement in the spice trade, was commanded by Lom Pyke. A likeness of Lom Pyke was prominently displayed within the offices of Senator Yudrish Sedran, who faced accusations of accepting illicit payments from the Pyke Syndicate. Sedran asserted that the portrait was a cultural exchange gift; despite the discovery of traces of Kessel spice on the artwork, the senator's legal team successfully defended him against the charges.
Approximately a decade prior to the Clone Wars, Finis Valorum, the Supreme Chancellor, dispatched Sifo-Dyas, a Jedi Master, to engage in negotiations with the Pykes. Around the same time, Darth Tyranus established contact with the Pykes and brokered an agreement for the death of Sifo-Dyas. Following the negotiations, the Pykes targeted Sifo-Dyas' vessel, causing it to crash on a moon in orbit around Oba Diah. Upon inspecting the wreckage, the Pykes discovered Dyas' lifeless body but were surprised to find Silman, the chancellor's personal aide, still clinging to life. Suspicious of Tyranus' motives, the Pykes surrendered Sifo-Dyas' remains to him but concealed Silman's existence, imprisoning the chancellor's aide as a potential bargaining chip in case the Galactic Republic or the Jedi Order uncovered their involvement.

As the Clone Wars raged, Lom and the Pykes became aware of the Shadow Collective being assembled by the renegade Sith Lord Maul. Lom and his followers journeyed to Zanbar to pledge allegiance to Maul's collective, which already included the Death Watch and a segment of the Black Sun. With a sufficient number of criminals recruited, the leaders convened a briefing to strategize an attack on Sundari, the capital city of Mandalore. Their plan involved the Pykes, Black Sun, and other criminal elements launching assaults on various points within the city, while Pre Vizsla and his Death Watch soldiers would stage a performance, "apprehending" the criminals to gain the populace's trust.
Lom, along with other criminals, concealed themselves within cargo containers that were deposited at Sundari's docks. Upon the customs police opening the containers, Lom and his accomplices swiftly overwhelmed them. He then commanded a small contingent of criminals to raid the bank of Sundari. He "politely" requested that the guards step aside and grant them passage. The guards received reinforcements, only for Lom and his crew to reveal Savage Opress, Maul's apprentice, who proceeded to subdue the guards, enabling them to rob the bank. Subsequently, Lom, along with the other criminals, was captured by Vizsla and his forces. Bo-Katan Kryze presented Lom and the other leaders of the collective to the people of Mandalore as part of their charade. However, Vizsla betrayed Maul, imprisoning the entire collective except for his own Death Watch. Maul escaped, assassinated Vizsla, seized control of Death Watch, and resumed his schemes with the crime syndicates.

Seeking the truth surrounding Sifo-Dyas' death, the Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker journeyed to Oba Diah. Lom commented that it had been a considerable time since a Jedi had visited Oba Diah and extended a drink to the two, proposing a toast to friendship with the Jedi. When Kenobi inquired about Sifo-Dyas' disappearance and noticed Silman's necklace, which Lom wore, Lom became apprehensive and attempted to subtly usher the Jedi away. Using the Force, Anakin snatched the necklace from Lom's neck, demanding the truth. Realizing he could no longer conceal the truth, Lom revealed the details of Sifo-Dyas' death, Tyranus, and Silman, leading them to Silman's cell. He offered Silman to the Jedi in exchange for a full pardon for his betrayal of Sifo-Dyas and left Skywalker and Kenobi alone to converse with Silman.
However, Count Dooku discovered that the Jedi were investigating Sifo-Dyas and arrived on Oba Diah to eliminate any remaining loose ends. He Force choked Silman and engaged the Jedi in a lightsaber duel. Lom and his men soon arrived on the scene, identifying Dooku as Tyranus to the Jedi, stating that he had no further dealings with the Pykes. Lom sided with the Jedi, instructing his men to eliminate Dooku. Skywalker and Kenobi attempted a Force push against Dooku, but he evaded it, causing it to knock Lom and his men over. Dooku seized this opportunity to impale Lom Pyke with his lightsaber, resulting in his death. Despite their efforts, Kenobi, Skywalker, and the other Pykes were unable to prevent Dooku from escaping the planet.
Following Lom's death, Marg Krim succeeded him as the leader of the Pyke Syndicate. Lom Pyke's tenure as the leader of the Pyke Syndicate was referenced in "Index of Organizations," a survival guide distributed by Carson Teva during the New Republic Era.
Lom Pyke, a Pyke of the male variety, possessed a height of 1.91 meter (6 feet 3 inches). His distinguishing features included purple eyes and green skin. As the head of the Pyke Syndicate, he was constantly embroiled in the illicit and perilous spice trade. Consequently, his features bore the marks of spice residue.
Lom served as the leader of the Pyke Syndicate until his demise. During his reign, he gained recognition for his adeptness in negotiation. He engaged in negotiations with Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas and Chancellor Valorum's aide Silman before orchestrating the Jedi's assassination, taking Silman captive, and imprisoning him within the Pykes' fortress.
Lom wielded a CC-420 pistol, a weapon manufactured by the Pykes.
