Zoo

CreatureExhibits-SanaStarros3 Creatures displayed at the Wild Wollina's Animal Adventures A zoo could be defined as a place specifically designed to house a diverse assembly of unusual, and sometimes perilous, fauna. Both the King Prana and his adversary, Regent Solculvis, maintained extensive menageries to showcase their animal collections. Prana, in particular, reveled in flaunting his collection. The Capital City located on Lothal featured a zoo that was once visited by Ezra Bridger.

In the year 2 BBY, Emperor Palpatine was the proprietor of a private menagerie containing a plethora of uncommon and fascinating creatures.

Before Liberation Day occurred in 5 ABY, the Wexley family took a trip to a zoo situated on Sarini Island on the planet Chandrila, where they observed pangorins, caw-crabs, and also uralangs.

Approximately 30 years following the Battle of Endor, Prana, in an effort to surpass his rival, enlisted the services of smuggler Han Solo to procure rathtars for his collection; this endeavor ultimately proved unsuccessful, despite Prana's willingness to offer generous credit for the undertaking.

Behind the scenes

The concept of zoos was initially introduced within the pages of the canon novel Star Wars Rebels: Ezra's Duel with Danger, penned by Michael Kogge and brought to the public by Disney–Lucasfilm Press on March 17, 2015. This establishment made its debut later in the adult novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, authored by Cavan Scott, as well as the middle grade novel The High Republic: Race to Crashpoint Tower, written by Daniel José Older; both were simultaneously released on June 29, 2021, by both Del Rey and Disney–Lucasfilm Press, respectively.
