The Graceful Promising was a Munificent-class star frigate which served as a Vontorian treasure ship. The frigate eventually became derelict by 10 BBY, and the famed pirate queen Maz Kanata loaded the vessel with treasure, including a batch of kiirium. The Graceful Promising became locked into close orbit around a dark star in the Outer Rim Territories, which Kanata mapped as a one of her secret caches on a map in the book known as the Smuggler's Guide.
At some point between 0 ABY and 3 ABY, the Smuggler's Guide fell into the hands of Han Solo, a smuggler who had been working the the Rebel Alliance. Keen on paying his debts to Jabba the Hutt, he planned to plunder the treasure ship with the help of his partner Chewbacca and a small unit of Alliance Pathfinders led by Caluan Ematt. The mission was successful, and after getting the kiirium sold, Solo decided to let the Alliance keep most of the money gained from the mission despite his own debts.
Graceful Promising was depicted in Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide, a reference book written by Daniel Wallace and released in 2018.
