Jedi Temple's computer core

The heart of the Jedi Temple's computer system resided within a spherical room. This chamber was located on Level 351 of the New Jedi Temple situated on the planet of Coruscant. Projecting approximately fifteen meters into this space was a semicircular service balcony. This balcony featured railings that supported several display banks and interface stations. The room itself was characterized by orbs of processing clusters. These clusters emitted crackling sounds and were interspersed with floating memory clouds that cast a gentle blue light. Within the chamber, flickers of blue current were visible, alongside red, green, and yellow holographic status indicators. Three swiveling chairs were positioned in front of the primary administrative interface console.

Prior to the Jedi's attack on the New Jedi Temple, Sith adherents of the dark side entity Abeloth established their ambush outside the decontamination chamber that provided access to the core. During this time, Abeloth was using Rokari Kem, the Galactic Alliance Chief of State, as an avatar. She then confined herself and Wynn Dorvan, the Chief of Staff, within the core. While held captive by Abeloth, a horrified Dorvan employed a hold-out blaster in an attempt to kill Abeloth in Kem's form. However, the avatar's death enabled Abeloth's spirit to seize control of the computer core itself. The darkness of the core then manifested a large feminine face, vaguely Human in appearance, displaying Abeloth's features: long yellow hair, silver eyes deeply set in their sockets, a small nose, and a mouth stretching from ear to ear. As the computer core, Abeloth was able to converse with Dorvan using her own voice. When Dorvan, terrified, tried to shoot himself, she used the Force to move his blaster away and suspend him upside down from the ceiling, declaring that no one would escape her grasp. Anticipating the Jedi's infiltration of the Temple, Abeloth deactivated all the interface panels, preventing them from deactivating the deflector shields and blast doors that protected the Temple.

When a Jedi team did infiltrate the Temple, the astromech droid Rowdy was tasked with interacting with the Temple's computer system to pinpoint the computer core. The droid needed to communicate directly with the core to lower the shields and doors, which was essential for the planned assault by the Galactic Alliance Marines. Thirty-six hours later, Rowdy, along with Jedi Jysella Horn, Valin Horn, and Ben Skywalker, entered the passageway leading to the core. This passageway had been cleared of its Sith guards with assistance from Corran Horn, Luke Skywalker, and Jaina Solo. The latter three continued on to confront the Sith, who, under the leadership of Lady Korelei (secretly another of Abeloth's avatars), led the Jedi away from the core. After Rowdy sliced the lock on the decontamination chamber, the impatient droid headed for a computer interface console at the core, prompting Jysella Horn to rush into the room as the door closed.

While Rowdy managed to track Jedi ally Vestara Khai being pursued by Sith in corridor N300X on Level 30, the droid informed Jedi Horn that the computer core insisted she was the "master of the Jedi Temple" and the "Beloved Queen of the Stars," and had locked all the shields and blast doors in the facility. Realizing that the computer core was, in fact, Abeloth, Jysella escaped with Rowdy and Dorvan. They eventually reunited with other Jedi days later in the Senate Building. During a meeting between Jedi and Galactic Alliance personnel, marines leader Gavin Darklighter reported that they had only secured levels above 370—still short of the computer core on Level 351—and below the Pinnacle Platform, where the marines believed Abeloth was hiding. Despite Chief Dorvan's repeated and vehement assertions that Abeloth was in the core, rather than the Pinnacle, Jaina Solo reported that Lydea Pagorski was another avatar of Abeloth's who had died in Imperial Space, confirming that the entity possessed multiple bodies and that there were indeed two Abeloths within the Temple. Subsequently, Jedi Saba Sebatyne led a team comprising Gef Olazon's elite Void Jumper marines and Tahiri Veila, the Force user who had previously killed Abeloth in Pagorski's form, to storm the computer core. Inside the chamber, Olazon's pulse bomb caused Abeloth to foresee an electromagnetic bombing that would obliterate the computer core and herself along with it. As the glowing energy cloud forming Abeloth's face moved to attack Sebatyne, it transformed into a physical body to evade the effects of the pulse bomb, aiming to take Sebatyne as her new avatar. Abeloth thus fell victim to Sebatyne's strategy, and the ensuing battle resulted in the Jedi overpowering Abeloth through the Force and physical combat, ultimately killing the entity.

Abeloth's remaining avatar, Korelei, was destroyed soon after, and her spirit was similarly defeated. The Galactic Alliance successfully liberated and began the process of recovering Coruscant. However, the Jedi decided to leave the planet to reduce its vulnerability and relocated to Shedu Maad.
