Oosalon was a barren, mountainous planet located in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories.
Oosalon was a barren, rocky mountainous planet located in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories. The planet had an atmosphere breathable to oxygen-breathers, such as humans. The planet was inhabited by a non-sentient creature named the tibidee.
In 34 BBY, Jedi Master Mace Windu was captured by Guattako's army while searching for missing Padawans that Guattako had kidnapped. After capturing Windu, they broke his lightsaber and were planning to broadcast Windu's execution across the galaxy so the Jedi's death could inspire many new converts into his cause. Later Windu was able to use the Force to reconstruct his lightsaber. Eventually Windu was able to defeat Guattako's army. When he met with Guattako, he fought with him until he was knocked out by his staff. When Guattako was going to kill Windu, a young Jedi shot and killed Guattako. Windu and the missing Padawans later escaped.
In 3 BBY, two rebels—the Jedi Kanan Jarrus and his Padawan, Ezra Bridger— who participated in the early rebellion against the Galactic Empire scouted Oosalon as a potential location for a rebel base. Instead, they were confronted by two Imperial Inquisitors, the Seventh Sister and the Fifth Brother, and engaged them in a lightsaber duel on Oosalon Mesa before escaping on the back of a tibidee.
Oosalon first appeared unnamed in "Shroud of Darkness," the sixteenth episode of the canon animated series Star Wars Rebels second season, which first aired on March 2, 2016. It was later identified in the "Shroud of Darkness" episode guide trivia gallery, which confirmed that it was identified as Oosalon in the episodes script.
